Decided to take the risk and use the bin patched applehda and now I can happily report every aspect of my hack is working perfectly. Can't test displayport yet, but all the ioreg info is as it should be and hdmi/displayport audio output option shows up. thanks Toleda and Isisyodin for your help...
I downloaded the latest version of applehda that's has a patched bin for 889 from kexts.com, should that work ok? I haven't messed around with any patched applehda's before.
weird, any idea why they would be missing? I'm using the universal alc enabler with multibeast 3.4's applehda - 1.7.9a4. would that cause that kind of problem? I attached the hdef info also.
made the dsdt edits and rebooted, but no hdmi audio output. I enclosed my edited dsdt (I already double checked everything and it seems right), and a picture of my HDAU ioreg properties. I believe I've done everything properly. Hopefully I've missed something obvious and basic.
Yeah, everything is vertvert and looks the same, except I haven't installed the hdau dsdt quite yet. I wanted to get the research out of the way since I already broke my install once; and when you mentioned yours worked outright I thought I'd see if there was a way to do it without the hdmi...
I checked out the custom personality info for the framebuffers and it looks like all the ports have the right connector id's and they all matched with aty_activeflag=1 except the hdmi's ATY_activeflags which is 0x200. I haven't done any hex editing before, so I'm not too keen on trying to mess...
about to set up my hdmi audio tomorrow with my sapphire vapor-x, and was wondering why the baboon framebuffer was needed if I'm already using hdmi with kabyl's boot successfully? I didn't think hdmi audio had anything to do with the framebuffer's if you're already video getting signals properly...
Re: AudioEnabler - Patcher for Onboard & HDMI - TESTERS NEEDED
I know this is supposed to work for nvidia cards, but has anyone successfully gotten their radeon cards to put out hdmi audio with these methods? Curious if and how exactly this can be implemented. Already tried inserting the edit...
So tonight I tried to install the latest patched 10.6.6 AppleHDA and edit my DSDT to enable HDMI audio for my Sapphire Vapor-x 5770 with a P55A-UD4P. I'm using the latest F14 dsdt, but when I tried to install both the drive ceased to boot. When I attempted to edit my dsdt I wasn't sure where...
I've read someone bought an apple model 5770 and he mentioned it worked under windows in his hackintosh and just like a regular pc card. I was curious if anyone's tried Apple's 5870 in their hackintosh. I wouldn't mind paying extra for apple hardware to simplify the graphics card install. I'm...
no, it's on mirror mode, and the mouse position is identical between the two. I'm thinking of getting the Gigabyte gts250 1gb OC now. How loud it is? I build a cosmos s with 6 scythe s-flex's and a seasonic m12d, the hard drives are pretty much the loudest thing right now. I was hoping not to...
I hooked up a dvi monitor to the card and snow leopard recognizes the monitor as a second display, but the dvi monitor displays only a black screen, except for my mouse pointer, which moves and behaves normally. ideas?
I'm getting video through vga, but my hdmi and dvi outputs don't work. I'm running NVenabler after trying nvenabler64 and was curious if anyone has gotten one of these cards fully functional. Snow leopard seems to be recognizing it as a 9800gt, but still only vga works.
