Has anyone tried this? I'm thinking disable the internal graphics and copy whatever kexts were patched over from my MBP. If it's not been tried I'm happy to test if anyone knows what kexts need replaced?
I used a MultiBeast 4.6.1 DSDT install after install so not sure what else I can do - I did have a CMOS reset at one point too until I restored an old AppleRTC.kext... I guess there is a good chance that Kext is causing the issue?
Just to update - after a reboot the clock was back to normal (rather that gaining a couple of minutes every 10 minute!) so it does appear to be after the mac has been to sleep and woken back up.
Hi,
Is anyone having problems with their clock running fast after upgrading to ML? Mine seems to be running quite fast - it may be related to sleep - I'm not 100% sure.
Specs to the left.
Thanks,
FJ
That's what I did and it worked for me - but I have a fairly vanilla system, the only issue that I normally have with software updates is the audio and at least it's not something which prevents me from booting.
Hi,
My current HIS 9800 card capacitors seem to be on the way out due to the high pitched whine coming forom the card... So I bought a cheap EVGA 8400GS 512Mb card on Amazon - it's the one with VGA/DVI/HDMI - I'm hooking it up with DVI.
When I try to boot it just locks up at the white screen...
Hmmm, tried the usual sleep fixes (see attached screenshot) from the linked post, tried setting my smbios profile to an Imac11,1 and it's still doing the odd power cycling thing. :banghead:
Hi,
10.7 is installed and working like a charm on my P55-UD5 with i5 processor, only issue that I have is sleep - anyone else having issues? I'm using the F10 BIOS with DSDT.
Worked perfectly from Software Updater on my Gigabyte GA-P55-UD5 (with core i5) and 9800GT graphics, even the sound worked perfectly without having to do any rollbacks - was the same experience as a real mac :D I did update my timemachine backup just in case....
Yes, rebuilt the caches using the System Utilities option in MultiBeast.
Hmmm, now I see that IONetworkingFamily is also in /E/E - I definitely don't remember putting it in there...
All is working 100% now so I am very happy.
I had it in /S/L/E and no luck.
It got me thinking though... I retored the old IONetworkingFamily.kext from TimeMachine, removed RT1000SL.kext from /S/L/E and moved it into /Extra/Extensions ran System Utilities in MultiBeast to fix all of the permissions and rebooted.
I now have internet...
I should also add that it does show up with a self assigned IP. It does appear listed in Profiler.
If I configure a static IP, it goes 'green' in the networking setup utility, however I can't ping any other hosts on the LAN.
Green LAN is definitely disabled. Do you think it's worth rolling back to F9 BIOS?
The card is ok under Linux so the hardware is fine.
Not sure what else to try!
Thanks,
Fj.
Hi folks,
After a lot of issues with my asus Maximus iii formula I decided it best to go a little more vanilla and ordered a GA-P55-UD5 board as it was mentioned in a few of the suggested hardware guides.
I have everything working, except networking! I deleted all network kexts and have...
