The device root uuid is on Asus UX303LA (Broadwell)

Pretty much have to wait for 10.10.3 for broadwell support if I am not mistaken. Think that there is no patched kernel due to the fact that Apple's got it covered when 10.10.3 comes out. Regards,

    FileNVRAM crashes Yosemite

Don't go to clover so fast for iMessage. Looks like Apple has found a new lockout. Stay tuned.

    How to Fix iMessage

If you log out of iMessage with bad values, it looks like your locked out again with the contact support with code message. This is new, as of today. Last night I was able to login and logout of iMessage without any issues. Hopefully MLB & ROM values can be reverse engineered just like...

Should I move on to UEFI?

A reminder that UEFI on an older motherboard is much more flakey than current generation chipsets, i.e. Z87 and Z97. The old adage of 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' comes to mind. Regards,

    How to Fix iMessage

I would love to say yes 100%. However, it is possible that the Apple ID in question may also be part of the lockout equation. If you decide to try it, remember that the Product ID seems to need to be the same as the Product ID from the MLB and ROM. My advice at this time, is to wait for Jay...

    How to Fix iMessage

After some more checking with a variety of other websites, it has become apparent that Apple is doing more than checking the physical size of MLB and ROM settings (of course their values may be also part of the blacklist check). Lots of other hacks have been using MLB and ROM settings of the...

    How to Fix iMessage

Pure speculation on my part below: Sorry to say but I think Apple has placed a blacklist server into the loop. Obviously there is a token that is being passed to those new builds that have not yet enabled iMessage and FaceTime. Once you have the token, you can safely log out and log back...

    How to Fix iMessage

I'm still not convinced that Apple has done anything to the iMessage Lock Code system, other than possible breakage due to their associated issues that occurred on 10.10.1's release. iMessage unlock requests are extremely rare for the average Apple Specialist let alone the consumer. I have...

    How to Fix iMessage

"An error occurred during activation, try again" up until this point has always been a configuration error between MLB, ROM, SmUUID Serial, and type (model).

    How to Fix iMessage

From a networking engineer standpoint this sounds too much like a failure to propagate. If so, give Apple time to fix their own internal issues. All I know is that I have no issues logging in and out, and have even gone as far as doing a complete Time Machine restore. No issues have surfaced...

    How to Fix iMessage

You may be on to something with ROM. I've been looking at various stable configurations (persists through upgrade to 10.10.1) and reinstalls and have found something interesting. It appears that the stable ROM values are all derived from the last segment of the SmUUID (12 digits, 6 bytes). The...

    How to Fix iMessage

There were problems reported for iMessage on iClarified.com yesterday and this morning. Not sure if this is related, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

    How to Fix iMessage

Unless something has changed, and with Apple, one never knows. Wait for Jay to respond to this as I am just one of his admirers. P.S. After having a few phone contacts with Apple Support I can tell you for certain, that many if not most of the AppleCare support team know nothing of how to...

    How to Fix iMessage

Thats definitely a new one on me. I have been following Jay's work religiously enough to know that Unique MLB+UniqueROM+Unique SmUUID+UniqueSerial=working iMessage (or code to unlock iMessage Apple ID). The kicker being that upon reboot all of those things mentioned above must stay them same...

    OS X 10.10.1 Update

On a clover 3021 version hybrid install (meaning used Multibeat 7.02 to install sound and trim drivers). Updated to 10.10.1 using standalone installer (software update was moving at a snails pace). Rebooted, and lost trim and sound. Reinstalled trim and sound from Multibeast 7.02. All is well!

    Yosemite Handoff-capable Bluetooth adapters?

Not so fast Demonknight :) You are 100% right, unless Apple says 'No'. I had a configuration that was 100% working with full iMessage and FaceTime support, until I added the new bluetooth/wifi adapter. See post...

    How to Fix iMessage

Yeps. if those values are truly unique to Apple, you should be getting a message to contact Support, with a code to register iMessage .

    How to Fix iMessage

sounds a lot like a MLB, ROM issue. If iMessage functionality is not being compromised by the bootloader than it can only be a combination of any of these four things: MLB, ROM, SSUID, or Serial. So change them all, and you are dealing with a brand new system as far as Apple is concerned...
