Tried HDMI to DVI --> same result (gets to about 1/2 way and exits monitor but pc stays on, fans on card running)
Display port to DVI Adapter --> Gets a little over 1/2 way and freezes, monitor stays on.

Someone suggested a 17.1 imac definition might help. Should I try that? I'm currently in 14.1 (which was the default installation using unibeast/multibeast)
(I hesitate as in the past changing that setting has lead to bootloops and other issues.)
When I disable Internal graphics I go to a black screen about 1/2 way through the apple boot sequence. The monitor actually shuts off (orange light showing it's not receiving data)
Verbose does not help as I cannot a get a screenshot of the last operation.
Suggestions welcome.
Tried Adding Lilu and Whatevergreen.
With card installed I get a green screen before automatically rebooting, and in verbose get these vertical stipes.

Running 10.7.4 on a Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3
Ran the new Multibeast (4.6.1)
the computer went to grey screen with the shut down manually message.
Reboots into similar shut down message.
running under -x or using flag mentioned before leads to same.
