Need Network Kext favor for someone who uses InsanelyMac

I signed up to InsanelyMac so that I could download a network kext, but I am not getting their confirmation emails thus I cannot download anything. Could someone who is a member there download the following and attach it here so that I can get it? I would be very grateful. Thanks in...

Would you mind posting your files here so everyone can take advantage of them? Use mediafire or something to upload them to.

System will not shut down all the way, or enter full sleep

So I have everything working really well. There are 2 things though that are left that I cannot figure out and are bothering me to no end. Hopefully some of you can help shed some light on this. 1. When I choose Shut Down the system starts the shut down process. Screen goes off and I can...

Lets try to keep this thread just on the topic of graphics.

NVIDIA GeForce 5xx Graphics in Lion [TEST]

Just wait a couple days. Tony said he would be releasing a way to go straight to Lion. Also there has been a way to do this for a bit already...just need to look on that other site and there are directions ;)

It's simple to create a clone image. Just download and run CarbonCopyCloner. Set your Source and Destination drives and hit clone! That's it.

NVIDIA GeForce 5xx Graphics in Lion [TEST]

Posting this from 10.7.1 Two things so far, one good one bad. The good: Boot screen is now full screen for me instead of just the upper left hand corner. The bad: When NovaBench hits the GPU test instead of seeing the colorful graphic thingys, it just turns into a white box and locks up the...

NVIDIA GeForce 5xx Graphics in Lion [TEST]

10.7.1 was released just a little while ago! I will be running a full backup and then will install 10.7.1 and report back. I'm pretty sure there is nothing new for the few files that matter to us. Seems like we have to wait until 10.7.2 for there to be a change or two. UPDATE After...

The 570 is a great card. Honestly if you are looking to play games stick to Windows. While I'm sure you can get WoW playable on a hack system it will run no where near as good as in Windows.

NVIDIA GeForce 5xx Graphics in Lion [TEST]

Yeah, people have gotten the 570 to work. It seems that of the following: 560, 570, 580 that 570 users seem to have a bit more difficulty. But like I said earlier all of these hack systems act very different from one another.

Not really. Apple has always favored ATI setups over Nvidia. This is just another example. Xfire and SLI must be different architectures and Apple only built in Xfire into their OS.

NVIDIA GeForce 5xx Graphics in Lion [TEST]

No versions of OS X support SLI. You can probably get both cards recognized but they definitely will not be used together. One card will do everything will the other just always sits there idle.

Jordan - awesome work on researching out all the G-states and how they are working in Windows. I have been doing a lot of reading into this as well in order to tailor agpm specifically to my card. Looks like you will beat me to releasing something though as I just don't have the time right now...

NVIDIA GeForce 5xx Graphics in Lion [TEST]

Jordan - A few posts back you mentioned how in my agpm the thresholds were really high and you wondered why. Well I don't know why they are the numbers that they are BUT I was digging through the MacPro5,1 section and noticed that the threshold values were similar MacPro5,1 Device id = 05e2...

NVIDIA GeForce 5xx Graphics in Lion [TEST]

Jordan - Can you please post up how to check the gpu states? I know you need opengl driver monitor, but I can't find it anywhere. Also my 580 is all cool to the touch. Even the heatpipes are nice and cool to the touch.

NVIDIA GeForce 5xx Graphics in Lion [TEST]

All the values that are in my agpm are from the AGPM.kext for 580's found on insanelymac. All I did was copy and paste. Attached to the first post here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index. ... pic=260074 This is the agpm.kext that pretty much every single 580 user is using. All I did was...

Rick5 - interesting to see you have similar numbers using 3,1. Both benches were considerable lower using 3,1. There really seems to be no consistency between setups.

NVIDIA GeForce 5xx Graphics in Lion [TEST]

Ok GTX580 owners, some big news! First off, and this is a big one, MacPro3.1 does NOT load the agpm.kext So if you have been running MacPro3.1 system def the edits to that file from insanelymac do not even run on your system. Now I don't know how this applies to others but here is what I...
