I abandoned that DC7900 machine a long time ago. It's was my first experiment with OSX / MacOS, so, unfortunately, I don't have any of the files anymore, plus back then there was no Clover.
I have identified the problem as a APFS corruption. Unfortunately Apple's fsck_apfs is unable to fix the corruption and looks like I need to format and reinstall macOS.
I can still boot in the OS, but for some reason, certain files and folders can no longer be deleted. Anyway you try it, the...
Are you saying I should not use the official update dmg and instead try to make macOS USB Installer Flash Drive and update with that one? Wouldn't that Flash Drive overwrite my current installation? I have 10.13.2 installed.
Hi,
I was unable to update to 10.13.3 .
Now strange part is that I've tried various install packages and all fail with the same error:
"An unexpected error occurred while moving files to the final destination."
I have the latest apfs.efi and all.
Upon further investigation I found this in the...
I tried SMBIOS 16,1 on X99 with Broadwell-E and things didn't go very well. Random restarts, unstable video card, lots of problems.
14,2 SMBIOS seems to be working well.
I think I had 6,1 when I had the Haswell CPU.
I removed the first 2 entries.
But then why did you write in the guide:
c.) "KernelToPatch" entries in the "Kernel and Kext Patches" Section:

Excellent!
So for Broadwell-E , 6900K it should look like this: https://www.mediafire.com/file/4xn4g3hylyg9764/Screen%20Shot%202017-10-01%20at%2013.57.05.png
Correct?
1. All USB ports seem to be working, I've tested them. Not sure if they are properly implemented , I think some USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports are interchanged: http://www.mediafire.com/view/439m0efc2d3g1ym/Screen%20Shot%202017-10-01%20at%2010.47.09.png
2. XCMP is working
sysctl -n...
I'm very confused now. So which entries should be enabled and which not?
I have 6900K
Your Cloverconfig enables these by default: http://www.mediafire.com/view/iokvyvuehgegi5x/Screen%20Shot%202017-10-01%20at%2011.09.27.png
But your guide suggests I should only have these enabled...
I am using SMBIOS 14,2 , wouldn't this be better than SMBIOS 6,1 ? I tried with 16,1 since that one has official Broadwell support but the GTX 760 in my system would often randomly reboot.
Actually this was very helpful and I managed to get the HDMI to work.
Basically with <key>AddHDMI_8000000</key> set to false and SSDT-HDMI-NVIDIA-BR3A installed, the system would hang at boot undefinitely or so it seemed.
1. Removed SSDT-HDMI-NVIDIA-BR3A
reboot
2. Set <key>AddHDMI_8000000</key>...
Thank you!
I did as you instructed, but not sure what you mean by config.plist disables ssdts , to me it seems Clover is loading them. If I am doing something wrong let me know.
1. <key>AddHDMI_8000000</key>
I did that and set it to false but couldn't boot anymore.
I get :

No problem. Here it goes.

I'm on High Sierra.
I've been trying to get the HDMI sound out of my GTX 760 with your guides but nothing seems to work.
I have a X99 Gaming 5P motherboard with integrated CA0132 audio chipset.
I don't have a DSDT because I don't really need one. Everything works perfectly on my Hackintosh...
