I'm not using HD3000 but am using a GTX 260 using HDMI to my 1080p monitor. I only get the problem you describe is if overscan is unchecked in the Displays/System Preferences.
After backing up with Carbon Copy Cloner I did the upgrade and had to reinstall my audio, ethernet, 3rd party storage and trim kexts - pretty much anything you need when doing a first time install. I didn't do user dsdt though... wondering it I should. Everything seems to be fine. I haven't test...
Bought this board a day ago and got it running 10.7.4 in under an hour. I really like this board - it boots really fast.
- b75m-d3h $77
- nvidia gt520 $50
- 4GB kingston ram $25
- 2.9GHz pentium g850 $93
$245 total. I had a low profile case with 400w power supply, 500GB WD HDD...
It'd be great if people could upload screenshots of their working settings along with hardware descriptions. Maybe a linkback to the message board thread if they have one.
I have a 2007 white Macbook whose battery was getting bloated. Also the casing was chipping. Brought it into the Apple store and they replaced the casing for free (took less than an hour and a half) and were going to charge me $120 for a new battery. They rang up the battery for free by mistake...
Thanks for the help. Setting darkwake works! but usekernelcache does not (I uses the Migrate function in Multibeast). Still, it's nice to have sleep working properly!
Thank you for this guide! I'm bookmarking it for future reference!
I'm not getting the exact same results as you but pretty satisfied anyways:
- I have to use the power button to wake from sleep... but I have to press it once, pause and then again. Using keyboard or mouse disables power to usb...
I just got this and it's terrible. I could connect using it's software (it's doesn't use any of OSX built-in software - so no network preferences) and I get constant buffering on streaming video. Computer went to sleep and now it doesn't even work anymore. I'm returning this piece of crap tomorrow.
For what it's worth, I've setup a new Lion install and and never gone back to my Snow Leopard drive since. Everything works almost as well (sleep erases my BIOS), your mileage may vary. I use my system for Adobe CS5 mostly.
