    WWDC 2012 Mac Pro "Update"

Sometimes I think apple sets up a product line to fail so they can discontinue it. Seems like Mac Pro will be discontinued and they can say because of lack of sales, but it was only lack of sales because they never updated it...hehe Anyways shame to see the 17 inch macbook pro go. I love my 17...

post install stuck at trackpad/mouse screen

Think I got it. So far a smooth install. I re-did the UniBeast thumb drive this time without the laptop option. Got to the trackpad/mouse screen, pressed the spacebar and viola, was into the installer.

post install stuck at trackpad/mouse screen

Same problem here on a Asus G51 laptop. Tried booting with every command flag. Main drive is formatted NTFS, this could have something to do with it, but I can't hose my windows drive to test this, at least not at this time.

    Monitor Sleep and Lion

Bummer, that's what I was thinking. I guess my next question gets more philosophical than practical but is there a way the Gurus on this board could change that? Would something like this be doable to customize with a kext? Or would that just not be possible or if it was it would be a lot of...

Re: Finder Crash For people doing a search like me, having the same problem with the Finder crashing with the beach ball. This suggestion solved my problem. I was having the exact same symptoms as the OP and checking OFF put hard drives to sleep solved it. Cheers.

Everything working well, but running in 32-bit mode/Darwin10

OK I think I got it. I copied the preboot.dmg from the Iboot supported CD to my extras folder, and also left the DSDT in there from this site (thank you macman). Then I edited the apple.boot.plist manually inside the preboot.dmg. Now I am using the 10.4.0 kernel with 64 bit. It's strange...

Everything working well, but running in 32-bit mode/Darwin10

Been playing around a bit. I originally used the Iboot/Nvidia and MultiBeast. I tried booting with the Iboot/Supported CD and it boots fine when using that disc with the 10.4.0 kernel. But, if I try to boot from the hard drive it just restarts. So I am back to my original config of Darwin...

Everything working well, but running in 32-bit mode/Darwin10

I started with 2.0.3 and then just today with 2.0.5. Looking through the logs, nothing really sticks out at me as being an error. mostly just env: lines. *edit - No message from multibeast, it just tells me everything went well, but when I reboot nothing changes. Oh, also I am running 10.6.4...

Everything working well, but running in 32-bit mode/Darwin10

Yeah, I been trying to upgrade the Kernel, but when I select it in MultiBeast (10.3.1 Supported Kernel) nothing happens when I reboot even when I check system utilities (rebuild caches and Repair permissions). If I clear my extra's folder and then select 10.3.1 it just reboots to a kernel...

Everything working well, but running in 32-bit mode/Darwin10

Yeah, I tried all the boot.plist's and even edited myself manually with the arch=x86_64 flag, but nothing changed, and I am not sure why that is. Also is it fine to be running the Darwin 10.0.0, should I be striving to install the latest kernel or not worry about it? I cleared my extras folder...

Everything working well, but running in 32-bit mode/Darwin10

Hey Guys, Great site. I have followed the instructions on the blog and searched these forums a lot. My hackintosh is up and running very nice for a couple days now with all the bugs ironed out. So my programs all run well, 3D performance is good and am happy with everything, thank you all for...
