I could not use the ProBook installer unfortunately (unsupported), but did eventually get 10.10.5 installed and running.

Rehabman, you are the best. I recently hackintoshed a u450 IdeaPad for a friend. It is 100% except for blackscreen after sleep. It obviously requires some edits to DSDT or some framebuffer kext or some such, to fix Backlight issue. This isn't urgent, just wondering if you know of a foolproof...

I have a Dell Inspiron 580 Core i3 2.93GHz (mini-tower) with a custom power-supply, heatsink/fan, and graphics card (MSI GeForce 9800 GT 512MB 2xDVI).
After days of effort, I was able to actually boot the computer into the installer (no DMA, took 20min to get to the installer).
