I do remove the power cable every time I open my case, so yes! Thanks for the info. I would have been opening my case every time I switched OSes.

I opened up my case and jiggled the cable that connects the front audio port to the mobo. My sound now works in win7. However, I don't use the front audio port, I use the back ones, so this makes no sense.

My sound now does not work on win7 either. Weird. My speakers work when I hook them up to my iPod, and the win7 volume control shows the system trying to output sound, but nothing happens. I am going to investigate this after I eat.

I tried with a 5750 and it did not work. I tried many Boot CDs, with and without safe mode.

I have a 5750 which does not work with OSX, so I am using my 7600. However, this is slow when I game using Win7. Is it possible to have both cards installed on my mobo and use different cards for each OS?

I've got a Hackintosh with ethernet! I haven't run Multibeast or anything yet though, still booting from CD and 10.6.

None of the old chameleon cds I burned change anything and neither does -x, so I'm going to just wait until I have a new copy of the install DVD. Those EBIOS read errors haunt me.

Though the card is the problem, this is another question I had. I set my storage configuration to AHCI, but I could not find any HPET settings. Is HPET necessary? There is one more update for my BIOS, but the changelog for it is only 2 very minor bugs, one which only occurs during a BIOS update.
