Ok it seems to be selecting Core Graphics Fixup AKA WateverGreen in Multibeast 11.0.1 that is causing this issue. Selecting this option in Multibeast 10.4 was fine. I've still been able to install NoVPAJpeg to get Preview of jpegs to work without this options so all good.

I have found that if I don't set the boot drive to LastBootedVolume the Timeout timer does not start counting down which from reading elsewhere is a known issue. Setting the Timeout timer to 0 will bypass the Clover screen which is what I thought questioner wanted.
I believe you need to change your boot device to LastBootedVolume and Timeout to 0 in config.plist
