Confirming what I have seen posted several places, recent open core versions create bios entry, which in my case led to corrupt bios (unable to enter bios). I did not deduce the problem until both computers with same motherboard had the same issue - corrupt bios. I thought it too coincidental...

any help with this? I was able to compile ssdt-ec without problem. ssdt-plug is giving me errors. I do not want to use a pre-made ssdt.
