The beer was good :P
I had no issue with updating to 10.8.2 but from past bad experience updating straight via the store I downloaded the update and installed it this way.
10.8.2 is a nice update also :P
I just wish I could solve this mic not working from the onboard via sound or fix this...
Hi guys!
When I 1st hackintoshed this current computer I was using usb sound but due to poor skype performance (see my other thread in this section) - today I decided to have a crack at getting the motherboard audio to work. After much reading, many failures, a kernal panic and a fair amount...
SOLVED Mountain Lion 1.8.1 updated and now cant fully load
All fine now. I managed to fix the issue via chameleon wizard for booting and the graphics side i ended up curing with a new hd6000 Kext designed for the new patch.
Phew!
Thanks to all those that tried to help :)
Ok I've managed to get into my installation using boot flag PCIRootUID=1.
I've used Kext wizard to repair permissions And cache but it simply won't boot without this boot flag and it's not using the correct graphics driver because opening things like the notifications panel is just nasty...
Heh no I dont have a clone, I was going to make one this weekend but the drive didn't make it to me in time!
Is there any way round this to avoid losing my current installation? I've already tried an install over the top without formatting but this hasn't helped sadly.
I'm really confused because it seems to be failing on failing to load a Kext from Roxio giving blu ray support. I don't have a blu ray player, just a regular DVD / CD writer. I would be very grateful to anyone who can tell me how to get round this please!
I will attach a clearer screenshot.
Everything was fine with Mountain Lion until this new update.
I dont have a bluray drive.
I have a usb bluetooth controller could it be that?
The photo screenshots should be zoomable they were taken with my Ipad 3.
Hello All!
I wonder if someone would be able to assist me?
I attempted the 1.8.1 update on my hackintosh direct from the App store. It downloaded and tried to update but then gave a failed message. When I restarted it boots up to the grey screen with the Apple logo but it doesn't make it to...
Well I deleted the HD6000 kext like suggested in another thread but this didnt work, still white screen and mouse pointer. Then I rebooted to get back into my Lion install and it wouldnt boot back it! I just stuck on the mac loading screen!

I waited patiently for the download of ML to get enabled at the Apple store ,paid quickly and sat there watching the download bar!
I was glad to see an updated multibeast supporting ML :)) I also sat watching multibeast do its thing..the 13 hours to go got worrying but it did its job.
The...
Thanks alot guys but that was all bootloader stuff.
What I am looking for is the screen inbetween the boot loader and the login screen.
That pale looking screen with the Apple logo on it.
It looks so drab compared to my bootloader screen and login screens and looks kinda sad in the middle of...
I have a nice themed bootloader and login screen but the standard apple loading screen just looks wrong in the middle of them!
I notice that there is an app that can do this but sadly this doesn't work on my 10.7.4 lion install. I found a manual method also but this also stopped working after...
Great! I now have the bootloader working!
Thank you very much for the help, its very much appreciated :)
I have also themed it and set the correct resolution.
Love my new Mac Lion!
This forum and it's devs are perfect! :)
Thanks for your help :)
I now have it installed after several more attempts!
The problem now is that it just flashes up on the screen for an instant and then loads my lion installation without me doing anything.
I installed it with the newly updated multibeast and added fix permissions.
Heh...
Thanks for your reply.
Since posting I have found more menus within the bios that allow me to select my Lion HD as SATA. The thing is though when I do this it just goes straight into Lion OS and there is still no bootloader!
My final computer component arrived today and I now have Windows 7 on one hard drive and OSX Lion on the other.I installed Lion exactly how it is suggested with Uni beast and also using multibeast at the end. I had to add a kext for the internet to work and I dont have sound but hard a USB sound...
