Wow, I just booted with Duckweed instead of Bulrushes and my HDMI monitor is black, but my DVI one works. I remoted in and saw that ML recognizes the card, the HDMI monitor, and now HDMI audio works! But my screen is black. Looks like I'll have to do some video tweaking. Thanks!

I was digging around and read Bulrushes doesn't work with HDMI audio. Is that true? I currently need Bulrushes and ATIPorts=4 to boot with GE=Yes.

Hi toleda, I ran this exact process above on my DSDT extract. I didn't get any errors. I have an 889 and an AMD card, so I am using 0x85, 0x01, 0x00, 0x00. I rebooted and still cannot find HDAU in IOReg. Can you take a look at my files when you have a chance? Thanks!

So I followed your steps and made the HDEF edits and it compiled ok. I rebooted and found GFX0 in IOReg, but no record of HDAU. Any thoughts on what went wrong? I've attached my current DSDT.dsl. Thanks!

sorry about that, file is attached. GA-Z68MX-UD2H-B2, I'm running the U1c UEFI Bios I extracted the DSDT and then ran the Z68MX and ALC 889 patches from that site in the original post. I fixed the ATT3 error by replacing it with BUF0 and the hex digits error by replacing GH with 00. Thanks!

I was able to get rid of all of the errors except "Name already exists in scope (LPC0)" Any idea how to fix? Thanks! (also, is it ok to ignore warnings?) I'm trying to create this for a GA-Z68MX with ALC 889. Those are the two patches I applied in DSDT Editor...
