This is the point of installing AppleHDADisabler.kext so you don't have to delete this file as you would have to do this each time you do an OS X update.
Just on a side note you know that Installing Voodoo HDA from MultiBeast automatically removes the AppleHDA.kext and places it in the...
Without getting into a flight; I have to ask the question why is it ?
I have a Leopard and Snow Leopard machine in the office that uses Voodoo HDA long before the days of HDA rollbacks.
The Leopard machine is 5 years old and has never had a sound issue and the same for the 3 year old Snow...
So as we know the VIA VT2021 is on a couple of new Gigabyte Ivy Bridge Boards.
I have spent a good couple of days working on a solution to get everything working on my GA-Z77-D3H build.
Motherboards with VIA VT2021
Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H-WB WiFi
Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H
Gigabyte GA-Z77M-D3H

Turbo is still enabled in the BIOS however looking at M.I.T in the BIOS i can see that the settings (Multiplier) for Turbo and My Settings are no different. So i assume that turbo is not going to do anything extra in the way of speed.
SpeedStep i am assuming it is working but will do more tests...
I really think that OS X Hardware Monitor is reporting incorrect values here.
OS X Hardware Monitor Temp - 95 C
10 seconds later after reboot and entering BIOS
PC Health Status in BIOS - 62 C
It is just not possible that a CPU can dissipate heat that quickly so one of them is reporting...
Well it has been 8 hours with Prime95 and just rebooted.
I have Hardware Monitor v4.9 Installed it says that my CPU Core 1 -8 are at 95 Degrees C (203 Degrees F) however after rebooting and Checking in BIOS under "PC Health Status" it records 62 Degrees C (143 Degrees F) so i would assume that...
I now have a geekbench score of 11568 running my Core i7 860 @ 3.34Ghz and Memory at 2004Mhz. Been running Prime95 for the last 3 hours and the system is 100% stable.
Could not be happier with my "Mac" and the easy install.
Hi inx2mac after following your Bios setting on viewtopic.php?p=13521#p13521 it totally worked getting about 500 points more in my score and don't feel like i wasted my money on my performace memory modules.
Thank you so much
I had the same problem with teh Geekbench Score i was getting a score of 4560. Running Snow Leopard in 64 Bit with Memory speed at 2000mhz(which is what the memory supports). Loading just loading 'Load Optimized Defaults' which made the memory run at 1333mhz i get a score of 9560 so double.
