I made bios changes
see this guide for the 8930 by dandelion clock (#4 for BIOS settings) most importantly make sure you have SATA set to AHCI, it is set on RAID by default - the only thing I did different was disabled Virtualization, VT...
thats the one i have...how strange that you are having these issues...have you tried installing with a hdd that isnt the dell one? is there some setting on the dell mb bios that needs to be changed?
its possible, i have one and its working great after a bit of work - (with a few caveats)
i havent tried to get internal graphics working because i added a radeon rx560 and try as i might, i cant get the onboard audio working (i am using a usb focusrite interface for sound now and that is...
interestingly, i discovered this morning that dell power sensor kext was causing the problem with the bluetooth kernel panics - i have removed it and all of the other unnecessary SMC kexts and it bluetooth seems to be working fine now
thank you for this - i have tried and tried to get this working using these guides (and others) and all i get is the HDMI audio from the graphics card...i think i am just going consider the lack of on board audio as a 'hardware limitation' as is mentioned in the guide - maybe i will come back to...

https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/download-macos-big-sur-directly-from-apple-servers-with-gibmacos.307264
that allows direct download of logic audio content?
Hi Dandelionclock
Congratulations on getting things up and running with OC

When I swapped out the graphics card, I updated clover to version 4895 - I don't see apfs.efi in any of the folders
