    Laptop Compatibility

Hi, you have to generate new id if you change smbios. You do not need to remove a already working smbios, just log out from that id for a while. Then you can try something else, just keep things apart. I just returned to Ventura on one machine that I tried for Sonoma. Still to many hickups, but...

Congratulations! Did your wifi-setup also work with Apple services, like iMessage?

    iMessage/Facetime after install Sonoma

Thank you, I found that my Intel 8265 wificard was on his list of compatible cards. So something else is wrong. A bit strange that Ethernet works with both services on same machine.

Fenvi T919 and Broadcom wifi back in Sonoma with OCLP

Hi, I have a HP Elitebook 830 G5. Did anyone have success using iMessage and Facetime with any wificard? Tried brcm4360 (OCLP), and intel 8265. Wifi and bluetooth works and so does Appstore and iCloud. When using Ethernet both services works. I use OC9.5 and Sonoma 14.1. Better to go back to...

    iMessage/Facetime after install Sonoma

Hi, is there a list of which intel wificards works with imessage/facetime and Sonoma? So my laptop HP 830 G5 (now set to smbios 15.2) works great with Apple/Sonoma. If connected with Ethernet imessage/facetime works to. So only problem with those exact services and the present Intel wificard...

    How to Fix iMessage

If this was directed to me...Thanks, of course I am using 19,1 on that machine. Did I formulate my question so badly #7.186? I talk about a laptop HP Elitebook 830 G5 / i5 7200U that is also a build of mine. I hope that can be seen?

    How to Fix iMessage

Hi, I am having problems after an update to Sonoma. History: I have a HP Elitebook 830 G5, it was set up as MacbookPro 14,1 and all services worked on Ethernet and Wifi. Since Sonoma I updated the SMBIOS to 15,4. It works perfect apart from one thing. The Wifi card (only IM and FaceTime do not...

[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

Thanks for replay. Of course I could not wait for 14.1. I don't know for sure but I think it had do with the reinstall of documents and other things the installer offers at the end (it went wrong two times). So I discovered, first on my NUC8i3 that if I just do un update and skip the "clean...

    Laptop Compatibility

Hi, Is there a Intel wificard that is better than the others? I suppose there are different makers of Intel cards? I am quite happy how this HP 830 Elitebook (Kaby Lake) handles smbios 15.4 even if it is wrong cpu. Originally I set it up to work as 14.1 model, only changed the smbios to see if...

    Laptop Compatibility

Hi, at the moment I use a Broadcom 4352 (I used brmc4360 also, but linux does not like that one) for this laptop, but original was Intel 8265NGW. I need to change back to that if I upgrade to Sonoma I suppose, or possible try the oclp patch. Maybe it will work. 4352 had much better reception...

    Laptop Compatibility

Hi, I have a question. I have a Kaby Lake cpu on my HP 830 laptop and it has run great on Ventura with smbios 14.1. It can't be updated to Sonoma of course. Just as an experiment I logged out of Apple and just brutally changed the identity to smbios 15.4. Now the Sonoma installer pops up. No...

[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

Hi, yes this was totally unexpected. I did try to to download the image again and made a new install stick, I also did a version with OCLP. No one works in the sense that Safari is still crashing and now also Preview. In general the Sonoma feels snappier than Ventura. One more peculiar thing...

[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

Hi all, I just updated to Sonoma on my Nuc8i5 (macmini 8.1) Actually I tried all day to understand why Safari crashes/freezes constantly. Chrome works just fine and everything else works too, Wifi/Bluetooth still not Airdrop. #Leesureone, I saw that you uploaded your EFI folder and the only...

macOS Sonoma is Now Available From the Mac App Store

Started with an "easy" update with my NUC8i5. OC 0.9.5 (Macmini 8.1) everything in Ventura was updated to latest version. Made a USB installer for a clean install. Update direct from Appstore did not work. Updated AirportItlwm as mentioned in post 1 (vers. 2.3.0). I use OCAT. So..after about 30...

[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

Yes of course. I took away all serials of course and as you may see from the drivers I dualboot this NUC with Linux installations.

[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

Hi, I just wanted to add that on my Nuc8i5 I had these exact problems with random wake RTC0 (Alarm). Because that exact line "RTC0 (Alarm)" did not show until I run the terminal direct after a crash I did not think of it at first. But since a few days now after activating the "Disable RTC wake...

[SOLVED] Ventura/Sonoma - Random (Scheduled PM) Wake from Sleep

Thanks jaymonkey, this guide of yours solved all sleep problems I had on my five different machines, especially good for my HP laptop (MacbookPro 14.1). Very good also to read the pmset variables, thanks Edhawk for that file. Ventura has been a bit of a problem with glitches here and there, but...

    pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

Thanks pastrychef, You probably right. I think I know the reason now. I have one 4K monitor connected to thunderbolt and one ordinary 1920x1080 display connected to HDMI. When I disconnect the HDMI my machine does not crash and the other way around. I see in the forums here this is a common...
