Ah perfect, thank you for the info! Deleted VirtualSMC (and any other files to do with it) and started the update. It’s now gone past the hang point and can confirm it has updated smoothly after a couple of restarts. Thank you for your help @jaymonkey and @cmn699 May I ask one more question...

<< Solved >> Can't Update from 10.14.3 to 10.14.5 - "VirtualSMC EFI module is broken"

Thank you for your help. So after doing a Verbose Boot into the update installer (I must be honest, I wasn't exactly sure what I was looking for in the wall of text and it was a little overwhelming) I saw what may be the problem. VirualSMC came back as broken, sorry for the poor image quality...

<< Solved >> Clover won't boot MacOS after updating to v2.4k_r4920

Deleting the EFI Folder and replacing it has worked. Better yet, I stumbled across my EFI back ups and so copied the version folder before the update over. Rebooted and now its working again. Thank you for taking the time to help me, I super appreciate it! Do you know why the update didn't...

<< Solved >> Clover won't boot MacOS after updating to v2.4k_r4920

I'm able to do this. I'm assuming that I just 'install' the version I want from the sourceforge installers. I've done this with two versions, a 48xx and a 47xx, both didn't work. (I checked each time clover changed versions before booting into MacOS which it did both times). My USB version is...

<< Solved >> Clover won't boot MacOS after updating to v2.4k_r4920

Updated Clover with the Sourceforge installer. I checked it in Clover Configurator it said it hadn't updated (probably because I didn't restart) so I updated through that too. After I restart the computer I can't boot into MacOS. I don't get any logo, just a restart after a couple of seconds...

<< Solved >> Can't format SSD for MacOS after installing Windows 10

I was able to install MacOS Mojave first, it was fine. But after installing Windows 10 and rebooting to install drivers without first changing the boot order in the bios to MacOS (I totally forgot about this, my mistake) I tried to boot into MacOS after rebooting from Windows and of course...

Dualboot OSx (using intel graphics) & Windows 10 (using dedicated GPU) is this possible?

Hey, Had the idea to change my build to a dual boot system using OSx and Windows 10. I'll be using Logic Pro X, Studio One 4 and other music production apps in OSx, so therefore I don't really need the dedicated GPU as I'll be using just a 1080p monitor. But I would like to game when not making...

New build compatibility enquiry for MacOS High Sierra

This is my first time looking into building a hackintosh and after a couple of days of combing through the web for information about parts and compatibility. I've come up with this list. Any suggestions about the hardware would be much appreciated. If there are any issues you may see that I have...
