I can't get verbose mode to work. I can get to the Clover menu where I can select a volume to boot from. But pressing CMD+V after or during selection does nothing.

Spoke too soon. Here's the weird part: Audio works fine after waking as long as audio is constantly playing. Does not work: wake from sleep, log in, wait, after a few seconds there will be a click or pop from the speakers, and after that no audio. Works: wake from sleep, log in, IMMEDIATELY...

As mysteriously as this problem appeared, it has now disappeared. Obviously something changed -- computers don't have free will ;) -- but darned if I can identify it. At least it's working again.
