So, the on-board sound works with VoodooHDA kexts within Multibeast but that just gives you normal stereo sound not the 5.1. As long as you just want sound, its good enough but if you want the 5.1 (or try enabling HDMI audio), its bad cause you cant without the correct ALC882 kexts.

I installed Lion using the tonymacx86 install guide. Everything is working except HDMI audio (I haven't found the right kexts for the ALC882 audio onboard)

Raito, Can you point me to the kexts you used to get the ASUS P5W PH Deluxe onboard audio working? Thanks!

Also, I notice that my HDAU device id shows up as <60 aa 00 00> which is different than the one you highlight in your tutorial? Is that just a difference in our cards device ids or do they need to match?

Which HDMI edits are you talking about? I dont understand. Currently I dont see an HDMI audio output showing in System Preferences/Sound/Output (my GFX0 and HDAU screenshots are attached)

I can now see both GFX0 and HDAU in my IOReg... THANKS!! :D However, I have a Diamond HD5570 1GB DDR3 card and I cant find its vbios (techPowerUp)....I can find it for Asus, Powercolor and Sapphire........would any of them work? Is there any other place I can locate it for my diamond card?
