    Apple Keyboard F1 & F2 - brightness control

Nine years later, this thread directed me towards a great solution. If you're still around, thanks @SteinVS. FunctionFlip still works on macOS 11 Big Sur, using it together with Native Display Brightness. It allows me to fully control the brightness of multiple connected Dell UltraSharp monitors...

    ABWB 802.11AC WI-FI With Bluetooth 4.0 (PCI-E) BCM943602CS and Mojave working OOB

Sorry for the delayed response, as some additional clarification: The port limit as far as I understand it only applies to your "root ports", let's say the number of physical ports on your machine. If you're using external hubs (like your cinema display), that does not count towards that limit...

    ABWB 802.11AC WI-FI With Bluetooth 4.0 (PCI-E) BCM943602CS and Mojave working OOB

So, your issue is that Bluetooth is not available while WiFi seems to work alright? You’re able to connect to wireless networks through the menu bar icon and system preferences? Can you turn it on and off through that, as well?

    ABWB 802.11AC WI-FI With Bluetooth 4.0 (PCI-E) BCM943602CS and Mojave working OOB

Hey, yes, for me it wasn’t clear for quite a long time in setting up and working with multiple Hackintoshes how important the USB port limit is and why you can’t live forever on just running USBInjectAll.kext, I just put it aside like "no issues here”. Devices not available after sleep is one...

    ABWB 802.11AC WI-FI With Bluetooth 4.0 (PCI-E) BCM943602CS and Mojave working OOB

Hey, Joakim, did you just join the board with this first post? If so, welcome. I soon after gave up after multiple days of trying different combinations and following older and more recent guides. I went with the BCM94360CD instead, a model with 4 antennas (I believe, 3 for WiFi, one for...

using MacOS feedback assistant crashes OS

This is extremely weird, I have the same issue, but in macOS Catalina. It’s been four years since this thread was opened and I’ve created many issues with Feedback Assistant before.

No handoff: BT/WiFi works on New Mojave install

Has anyone found a solution? The BCM943602CS is supposed to work OOB and both WiFi and Bluetooth do but Airdrop only works terribly spotty, as if it had extremely bad reception overall.

    ABWB 802.11AC WI-FI With Bluetooth 4.0 (PCI-E) BCM943602CS and Mojave working OOB

The card you got is the *CS2, not the BCM943602CS — your card has two connectors for two antennas (one WiFi frequency, likely 2.4 and Bluetooth) while the *2CS has three antennas for 2.4, 5.0, BT. For anyone wondering, it seems the *2CS does not work OOB, I’m currently testing with Catalina. Did...

AMD and Nvidia graphic cards at same time

Most likely an issue due to 10xx series cards not being supported by macOS Mojave. You could try removing your nvidia web drivers and only having your monitors plugged into the AMD card when booting.

    Sleep results in Shutdown

I’d like to second this, on RX580 Pulse. It used to work many versions ago, before I started to use a disabled GTX 1070 simultaneously to the AMD card. Now that I’ve split systems and the RX is the only dGPU in the system, selecting Sleep looks exactly like a shut down, no “stand by blinking” as...

AMD and Nvidia graphic cards at same time

@ConmanCamaro I'm still using a similar setup, though it has other annoying side-effects. There is an AMD and an NVIDIA card installed — before I boot, I plug all my monitors in either card and this works fine. The NVIDIA card is ignored by macOS and I don't have any web drivers installed on...

AMD and Nvidia graphic cards at same time

This actually works, though sadly, it's the only procedure to make it work, got something similar with a 1070 and an RX 580. My problem with this now is, the NVIDIA needs to be in PEG0, the AMD in PEG1, only black screen otherwise. The performance however is by far not as amazing as only running...

    Simultaneous AMD and nVidia GPUs

How did you or the person you took that from manage this? I'am also trying to boot NVIDIA and AMD cards, how can I set the NVIDIA card to be only a "helper card"?

    Video Editing Build Advice

Well, I can't answer for specific cards as I only own a single model, Will. :) I'm just going to recommend the compatibility list and suggest you choose a newer card with OOB support — it's not necessarily out-of-the-box per se, but you won't have to push mountains for them to work, I'd say. A...

    Video Editing Build Advice

Gaming performance (particularly under Windows) is an entirely different world to native UI performance under macOS. I made the mistake of underestimating the impact of native support and suffered bad performance with 1000-series NVIDIA cards. The 900s don't seem to have that much of an impact...

    Video Editing Build Advice

I'm working a lot in Adobe After Effects and I'm enjoying a performance increase with all applications, the Native, ones built with Electron and Adobe's. The Adobe Media Core has had hardware acceleration for OpenCL and Apple's own Metal on top of NVIDIA's CUDA for a while, so modern cards...

    Video Editing Build Advice

If you'd like to see actual hardware acceleration for video encoding (e.g. Metal as used in Final Cut Pro X), I can't stress enough that a natively supported AMD card will yield much better (and smoother) results than any NVIDIA card could running with the web drivers. Since I've switched from...

    Help for My First Hackintosh

Yes, like trs96 said, take a look at the guide. I'd strongly recommend you to select an AMD card instead of the listed NVIDIA cards in the guide because they're natively supported by macOS. That means, you won't have to deal with the NVIDIA web drivers, less or no effort at all with system...

    RX 580 full acceleration possible?

If you're just going to use an RX 570 instead of your 660ti, there won't be any issues dual booting. Even if you'd be using both cards at the same time, Windows wouldn't have an issue with them — though macOS doesn't like having both an AMD and an NVIDIA card together by experience. You will...
