I extracted the zip to my desktop (see screen shot), followed the instructions, but no change. :(

When you say put the kext on my desktop, did you mean the zip file or one of the multiple files or folders within the zip archive?

Any thoughts on what I can do to undo whatever MB did to break my network connection? I’ve been looking through the forums and haven’t found anything.

This is what I saw in the terminal in case that helps at all.

I'm actually already aware of that. I'm clicking on the drives themselves and not any partitions. I've tried clicking on everything in the list, but the only one that offers any partition options is my main HD.

I've tried two other USB drives from different manufacturers and the same issue with all of them. The "Partition" button is grayed out for all of them. Any help?

Hmm. It doesn't appear to be giving me an option to partition it. The option is grayed out. I've erased it several times, but no luck.

Anyone? I've made several more attempts and still can't get past this point.

One odd thing I did notice was when I was formatting my USB drive, there was no option to select the scheme: I don't see an option to select GUID Partition Map. Could this be part of the problem?

I ran through the whole process again, ensuring to select UEFI Boot Mode and the same thing happened. Any other suggestions? I've been at this for two days now and am completely stuck :(
