Thanks Lesterix, thats good to know. I have tried it in different slots and I am confused how it works so well in 10.12 but not at all in 10.12.6. If anyone has any other ideas or wifi suggestions, I am ready to give up on this card.

Ok, this is really strange but great news. My graphics card is now working in sierra.I am not sure how but if anyone was wondering about this card it works. Thank you to Stork for all your help and everyone else who commented. I will post how I get on with the upgrade once I start selecting parts.
