I ended up buying a new SSD [an Samsung EVO 250gb] Thinking it was a hardware thing with the Corsair.
I...

Are Samsung SSDs just as good?
Thanks!

Still need help! Anybody?
Hello Going!
A friend told me to format it to exFat32/exfat. Prior I had installed Win7 on it. I had full reformat exFat after the install. I have an old Macbook running Leopard, I will try reformatting it via External drive to Mac Journaled to see if it helps.
Friend also told me there...
Hello all,
My 2nd build. Been awhile.
Hoping to get some help. Followed the Yosemite Guide as much as I could.
Got all the way to Install screen. But can't seem to get Disk Utility

This was my 2nd time reinstalling SL this time around. And I ran into the same 1024x768 screen rez issue. I used iBoot 2.5 instead of 2.6. Forgot exactly why, but I think 2.6 wasnt loading during install.
Delete NVEnabler.kext? Mmm ok?
Where is the filepath to delete that...
Really? I couldnt find any info about QE on my particular vid card.
Where did you see this? Links?
Still trying to figure out how to do a workaround.
Thanks!
Yes I tried to install FCP & iLife 11. Neither programs could not be installed cuz it was askin for Quartz Extreme. I have a separate graphic card.
Looking for buying advice, on which cards are Mac Compatible [for FCP & iLife 11]
Hello All!
Anyone know which Video graphics cards are compatible with Final Cut Pro 7/iLife 11?
When installing FCP in my build, the install requirements asked for QE -- Quartz Extreme and CI -- Core Image

Im trying to do the same build for a FCP Video Editing Rig too.
Im not a big techie, but from what I read and been told by others smarter than me.
Use the Green drives for pure offline dailies storage. The Green drives are too slow for regular editing within FCP. You'd prolly wanna use a black...
After experimenting for a coupla hours and looking over the replies, I've gotten partial success! Thanks to Karacho and CoreOSX for taking the time to help Troubleshoot!
Was able to change resolution to 1920x1200. :-)

Updated 75 to 60. Removed "arch=i386"
Was told to use x60 instead of @60.
Not sure if that is correct.
Still stuck at 1024x768 display :-(
Anything else I should try?
Here's what my .plist currently looks like.
Thanks all for your continued help!!!
<dict>
<key>Kernel</key>...
Its not working :-(. Still stuck at 1024x768.
I overwrote it. Rebooted and all that stuff.
Here is what my updated boot.plist looks like currently
-----------------------------------
<dict>
<key>Kernel</key>
<string>mach_kernel</string>
<key>Kernel Flags</key>
<string>arch=i386</string>...
Have u set
<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
<string>Yes</string>
in your boot.plist?
---------------------------------------------------
I tried to do that.
I went into a text editor and manually put in 1600x900x75 in that area of the string where I read in other forums you could do that...
Hello everyone!

[Fresh install on a HD] Followed all the steps, I installed SL RETAIL and went with the 10.6.5 version cause I was unsure if 10.6.6 would be stable enough yet for my rig. And unsure how to properly update it...
