How to build your own iMac Pro [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

Thanks for the advice, but it doesn't work for me. In my case, I just have to use the top row of the keyboard, the one that share the numbers and special characters, without using the SHIFT key. It's directly the numbers, not the special characters.

How to build your own iMac Pro [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

I know, Vega should be cool. I don't know why I have this issue. And I'm not the only one, as I said in a prevoius post, Nachosband have the exact same issue (post #8061). So weird. I will try soon 10.13.5 to see if it's better. Your Vega FE is it working better with this last update ?

How to build your own iMac Pro [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

Yes CSM is disabled. I will try with HDMI. I didn't go with HDMI because the cables were more expansive than the DisplayPort ones when I was buying stuff in a local store. I wil give it a try. You are using HDMI for your built ?

How to build your own iMac Pro [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

 whoah ! ... OK Decidedly I'm really unlucky :beachball: I did try, but I have an Apple Numeric keyboard, the wired old one and when I was typing the numbers it didn't work so I was assuming there's a problem as also, when I was clicking in the field nothing was changing as I was...

How to build your own iMac Pro [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

I'm connecting my screen simply via DisplayPort. Nothing special here. My screen is a 21:9 LG 34", the 34UM95-P. Maybe I should try another outlet than the one I'm using with the card. For my previous hackintosh, a x99 one, I'm using a be Quiet ! case, the Silent Base 800 which is pretty good...

How to build your own iMac Pro [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

A little quick question : Do someone know why "AVX Instruction Core Ratio Negative Offset" and "AVX-512 Instruction Core Ratio Negative Offset" are grayed out? These options are not available for me to be changed. I let everything at "Auto" like KGP recommended if you are using a air cooling...

How to build your own iMac Pro [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

Hi Izo1! Thanks a lot for this new explanations. But I do need VegaGraphicsFixup.kext and Lilu.kext apparently just to boot the screen. Without them, the screen doesn't work. About the case, I have the exact same one as you have. I love it! My first concern with hackintoshes is noise. So I...

How to build your own iMac Pro [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

Hi KGP! Thank you for this. I will try to understand it and see how it could be a help for this rx Vega issue. Also, I want to let you know that I'm reading your guide from first word to last. I'm, even, rewriting it in a txt file to correct some stuff that I think is some typing errors that...

How to build your own iMac Pro [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

Thank you very much KGP and Izo1 for your help I just tried VegaGraphicsFixup.kext with Lilu.kext only and it doesn't work. It's even worst, with a new sound very loud in a lower frequency. I hope I didn't kill my GPU by using Whatevergreen and VegaGraphicsFixup kexts in the same time. About...

How to build your own iMac Pro [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

Hi KGP! Thank you very much for all this work and the new update. You're the Man, really! Now my machine is working but I have one issue left. My rx Vega 64 is running at full speed making lots of noise, and have red sort of alert lights, like nachosband (post #8061) I must say that, even...

How to build your own iMac Pro [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

Yes, and like you I had the same idea: I just managed to sort of resolve this issue by patching again my mobo. But now I'm in the same boat as nachosband (post #8061). Never ending story.

How to build your own iMac Pro [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

Hi IgnitePro ! Thank you, but I already did it (I put the correct voodooTSCSync for 10 cores, get rid of Lilu and NvidiaGraphicsFixup kexts) before I asked for help. Nevertheless, I tried your EFI (just in case there's something more somewhere else) and... still stuck at the same place :(

How to build your own iMac Pro [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

Hi RuleBreaker01, Hi everyone ! I have the same issue as Xevin. I tried the EFI RuleBreaker01 sent to him. It didn't work. I don't know what I'm missing. RuleBreaker01, I have the same build as yours, except for the GPU which is a RX VEGA 64. Can you send your EFI ? Don't worry I will change...

How to extend the iMac Pro to X99 [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

Unfortunately, this also didn't work. Maybe it's because of Sapphire. As you point out, the BIOS of the Sapphire may be different than other brands. even if they are selling the same exact card. I look at Sapphire website, there's no BIOS driver to download except the ones of AMD that I already...

How to extend the iMac Pro to X99 [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

Thank you very much but it didn't work. Do I have to put a specific kext in the EFI>CLOVER>Kexts>Other folder in the same time (in addition to Lilu and Whatevergreen already there)? The brand of my Vega 64 is Sapphire. I didn't think that was important as every brand seems to propose the same...

How to extend the iMac Pro to X99 [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

No worries. I fixed the usb issue by a new install. Thanks for the thought though. But the GPU issue still there. So, may I ask you what will be your upgrading setup ? Will you be staying with the AMD Vega ? I don't see why I can't connect 2 monitors to this card in macOS iSierra while I can in...

How to extend the iMac Pro to X99 [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

I did a new install, with a hard drive disk (not ssd like before) and I got the usb working just fine. But, the issue with the GPU is still there. It's working with Windows_10 flawlessly. The 2 monitors acts really fine. But, with macOS High Sierra only one monitor. So weird. Anybody to help ...

How to extend the iMac Pro to X99 [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

Thanks KGP for this advice, but it didn't work. Yes. Thank you in advance for a look to it. I just erased the serial number and ID. And also, not all my USB-3 ports are working. Only 2 (the red one (3.1) and the blue below it) is working. If you have something to fix this too, will be appreciated.

How to extend the iMac Pro to X99 [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

Hi KGP ! Great work. It did work for me with the Gigabyte x99-Designare MB + i7 6850K. Except, I switch to AMD gpu with the radeon rx Vega 64 and I have an issue. I can only connect a single monitor. If I connect a second one, the first monitor becomes grey or a random single color and it's...

    Rocket 88 - i7-6950x & Gigabyte GA-X99-Designare EX - Sierra 10.12.2

Thank you GodHawk. Yes, I have to find a Windows OS somewhere to install it in an hard drive. Will do that next month, can't right now. I have all of this three kexts as I followed the Rocket88 guide. Except that I just get rid of the DSDT from ACPI/patched as "I was stuck on the same point as...
