I get only 70mb\s writing speed and nearly 180mb\s reading speed, it disappoints me a lot, since even my HDD had better writing speeds. Should I tweak the system (I have customac mini 2011) in order to get better SSD perfromance? If yes, how?
Good day.
I have bought my new SSD drive with only 60Gb onboard. I was looking forward to restore my backup from TimeMachine to this drive, but suddenly it said that I had not enough space for restoring the backup.
My SSD is 60Gb (55Gb actually), my backup is 30Gb (but I excluded about...
Does somebody have USB 3.0 ports working in hist CustoMac Mini 2011?
I've bought USB 3.0 pen drive (Transcend 16gb) and it doesn't work, but in System Prefernces I have the USB Super-Speed Hub option.
I've already posted that here before, but there were no answer... I am suffering from kernel panics, which happening very often.
I received 3 kernel panics for today's evening, and I even don't know what caused it. Please, could someone tell me how to find the reason of their happening?
P.S...
I can't quite get what you mean (sorry, english is not my native). I don't think you need a screenshot, because it is helpless (or not?). If you need logs or something, just tell me how to get them, and I'll post them.
I have started to suffer from occasional Kernel panics, which occurs in a relation with some OpenGL output (I suppose). For instance, 2 of them occurred when I had started or closed a game.
I have been suffering from lack of stability for about a month or two, since 10.7.2 was released - kernel...
Aw, this is awesome build, but it is still very much unstable as for me :( I don't care about artifcats, though they are very annoying, but what really bothers me is time to time system hanging. I don't know exaclty what causes the freeze, but it is likely related to playing some videos on...
Any "official" comments about artifacts problem? I got the problem only after update to 10.7.2, under 10.7.1 artifacts were extermely rare to me.
I suppose the voltage is not the root of the problem since it doesn't help.
I've figured out that there is no ultimate "right voltage value" at all. To avoid artifacts and glitches you should do the next two things:
1) Low graphics core frequency to 1000.
2) Change graphics core voltage from "Auto" to whatever value displayed under the "normal" column! If it is said...
Guys I've met some problem. The system started to hang after each loading. The symptoms are: sound continues to play well (e.g. if system hangs on watching a youtube movie), cursor can be moved, but the picture stucks and no any UI element responds.
After reboot my screen is full of graphics...
Increased amount of graphical glitches (horizontal stripes randomly appearing in the applications, gone when resizing or relaunching an app) after update...
Not good..
I have the same config as yours except the processor, mine is Core i3. I also have 8Gb of RAM overall and 512 Mb reserved for GPU in BIOS settings. Few times there was some graphic glitches similar to those you've described, but they all disappeared very shortly. It was only 2 or 3 times.
Are...
My Blu-Ray player is PlayStation 3 and I can't remember any volume controls there ;)
I clearly understand your explanation and agree with it. :) But... maybe I'm wrong but I remember that I was able to manage volume of HDMI output under Linux... Can't check it right now.
Anyway: thank you for...
So is it the default behaviour even on the genuine Mac Mini (or Mac Pro)?
But on Windows and Linux it is possible to change volume programmaticaly, it's a little bit strange.
Fantastic! Worked like a charm.
I was very surprised that Lion runs i386 kernel by default.
But it's kind of wierd, I always choosed x64 software to install and it ran perfectly well. On the Activity monitor there are lots of processed run at "Intel (64 bit)" as well. I find it very strange...
