    [GUIDE] Catalina on ASUS FX503VD

At this point i recommend you all use opencore's laptop kaby lake guide. The only thing you may want to copy over is the touchpad and keyboard ssdts and patches. As for performance, you may need to re-do cpufriend

    [GUIDE] Catalina on ASUS FX503VD

This was weird for me, and I remember that it was very non-standard - could you try only having the conoctate SBFI in the _CRS? also try only having conoctate SBFB instead, or conoctate SBFG. It's possible that only Polling works, in which case one of the above should work. Either way you may...

    Dell XPS13 9370 QHD Mojave

Hey, could you upload the AppleALC source (or layout 58 xml files)? I have an XPS9380, which has the same codec but different pin path. Actually, it may be irrelevant; I see that layout-id 22 is used, with SSDT-ALC299.aml - could you tell me what guide you followed to create it, ie why those...

    [Guide] Zenbook S14 (X411U, S410U) Mojave/Catalina

Hi, the USB C port is only USB C - it doesn't have thunderbolt or displayport capability. If you want HDMI, you'll need to use the HDMI port on High Sierra, as the port is routed through the Nvidia MX150 card. But even if you switch to High Sierra, I have no clue if the card will work due to...

    [Guide] Zenbook S14 (X411U, S410U) Mojave/Catalina

You need to recreate the FN key patches- this can be done by following the AsusSMC wiki. I think the acpi patches need to be updated, but the ssdt is fine. Actually, can you try changing the brightness on the login window first? If this works, then it's a macos configuration problem.

-HELP- Weird ring like blur and images in Mojave

i'm not shinji, but this is what you need to do (please read previous posts next time). If you still need help, search this forum (hint: rehabman) Device Properties for IGFX/IGPU device-id=16190000 AAPL,ig-platform-id=00001619 NVRAM boot-args lilucpu=8

    [Guide] Zenbook S14 (X411U, S410U) Mojave/Catalina

you'll need to upload an acpi dump (patchmatic), as well as your EFI (OC) folder. Also please attach output of log show --predicate "process=='kernel'" | grep ACPI and pmset -g log

    [Guide] Zenbook S14 (X411U, S410U) Mojave/Catalina

You could probably get it to work without SSDT-XOSI and OSI->XOSI renames, but I've never tried that. My guess is that some STA methods need to be modified if you go without OSI->XOSI. Only way to find out is to try it.

    [GUIDE] Catalina on ASUS FX503VD

You haven't added any ACPI files, nor any ACPI files, nor any device properties, nor any of the kexts that are recommended. I suggest you add those.. If you're going for a barebones boot-up, then please as a minimum use the ACPI patches and files. Add debug=0x100 to boot-args (stop reboot after...

    [GUIDE] Catalina on ASUS FX503VD

Make sure both your ig-platform-id+device-id, and smbios information is correct. Also make sure that you selected the Laptop KabyLake config, and not desktop/coffee/skylake.

    [GUIDE] Catalina on ASUS FX503VD

Yes, I used blackdragon74's ROG-HID driver, which only works on Catalina. https://github.com/black-dragon74/ROG-HID 1. Enable sip without kext enforcement "csrutil enable --without kext" or disable completely. 2. Move ROG-HID.app to /Applications 3. Open and press "Activate". 4. Open System...

    [GUIDE] Catalina on ASUS FX503VD

It's not possible. Sorry. The keyboard is HID/USB, which can not be patched via ACPI (in the same way that PS2 can). The most you can do is map the keyboard's port so it "works", and then use AsusSMC in HID mode, or ROG-HID to get it functional.

    [GUIDE] Catalina on ASUS FX503VD

As @Mja123 said, you'll need to create the config yourself, and copy the kexts and patches. You can use the Dortania guides, which I find to be the easiest to follow and best written. Currently, the guide URL is https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/.

No, not that I know of. You'll have to create a pull request with the fixes, or request the author to fix it for you (open an issue)

You can try AsusSMC - it has HID device support for Mojave. In my experience it hasn't ever worked, but it appears most of the problems are related to HID on Catalina, so it's worth a try. Make sure you have an extra USB keyboard lying around if something goes wrong.

    [GUIDE] Catalina on ASUS FX503VD

@Didas @Mja123 Please try the attached archive. Contains a new config.plist, kext list, driver list, and SSDTs. Please restart your EFIs; this isn't compatible with previous files/from op. I've enabled some device properties that may fix the panic on HDMi connect, please let me know how it works.

Thanks for the dumps, but I need unpatched ACPI - both @Mja123 and @Didas appear to be already modified. Edit: hold on I think this will work - didn't look at origin folder :D
