    AppleALC + 4 speakers

I've successfully patched AppleALC in order to have audio on my HP Spectre, but only 2 out of 4 speakers are working. (ALC295) Throughout today, I've been messing with my PIN Configuration, and I've managed to see 2 "audio devices", but still one of them isn't producing sound... (In order to...

<< Solved >> OpenCore battery patch

Just tested it and can confirm you its working! I will give it propper testing the next days to check if the readouts are "correct", but at least its showing up with OpenCore without using a patched DSDT. Thank you very much! Looking forward to your reply with the things I did wrong... I had...

<< Solved >> OpenCore battery patch

Hello, I've followed Rehabman guide in order to create a patch for my battery, but haven't been successful... here I share my original DSDT + the SSDT that I have so far, the config file (to check the renamings are done correctly. The patch is the one attached. Thank you very much for your help...

    OpenCore Post Installation Issues

And by the way, I have the DSDT.aml disabled, but I have it because the Battery Patch that I have isn't working... it's properly patched """in theory""", but I can't get it working, whereas on the patched DSDT.aml (when enabled) works. :) As soon as I have the Battery properly working, I'll...

    OpenCore Post Installation Issues

    1. I am not sure Q10 and Q11 are F2 & F3. With the modified file you provide me, when I press the F2 & F3 buttons (without holding Fn) it reacts as F14 & F15. The thing I want to achieve is that pressing F2 & F3 keys (without Fn) behaves as F2 & F3, because when I use my hackintosh with an...

    OpenCore Post Installation Issues

Hello, I've just updated my HP Spectre x360 to OpenCore 0.6.4 and almost everything appears to be working fine (booting from an external USB since some HPs have an issue when booting from Internal Drive, which has been workarounded using the Linux PreLoader.efi for Clover, but which doesn't seem...

Boot macOS 10.15.6 on HP Spectre with OpenCore (converting from Clover)

No, not at all... only from an external USB... In order to boot from Internal SSD, so far, I have only succeeded with Clover and the PreLoader.efi file

HelP! AppleALC only 2 of 4 internal speakers work.

Let me know the results! And could you please post the files you are currently using so that I can check what may be different?

    Success - HP Spectre X360

I can boot macOS Big Sur 11.0.1 too, but only from an external drive with OpenCore 0.6.3, or from the internal drive using Clover and the PreLoader.efi. Otherwise, if I try to boot from the InternalDrive using OpenCore, no matter if I use the PreLoader.efi, I can't boot macOS because it appears...

HelP! AppleALC only 2 of 4 internal speakers work.

    T That’s a very strange behaviour!!!

HelP! AppleALC only 2 of 4 internal speakers work.

In theory, what I found is that you have to edit platforms.xml... Open it with an xml editor, and at the bottom part of the platforms.xml file you’ll find the 23 (0x17) mapped to 2 (0x02), which are the bottom speakers... And another complex node (?) mapped to 3 (0x03) I believe... Select all...

HelP! AppleALC only 2 of 4 internal speakers work.

Probably not the answer you are looking for but... I have an HP Spectre x360 13-ac000ns, with Realtek ALC295, my codec dump is really similar to yours, and I can tell you that audio output 6 won't work... if you map through platforms.xml any complex node to node 0x6 (non amplified output), no...

<< Solved >> OpenCore battery patch

I've already reread the renaming section on the guide, used your command to obtain the dsdt.dsl with hex, and renamed "propperly" the methods SMRD, SMWR, UPBI, UPBS, GBIF, GBCO. I've done it searching Method(XXXX, and looking for the values, adding the previous pair of values to my hex as...

<< Solved >> OpenCore battery patch

Hi @moh.96 thank you very much for your help! So, after checking your points and rereading the guide, here's my current state: 1. Indeed, I had more than one ERAM fields which I completely forgot about, now should be fixed. 2. I originally had Scope (EC0) instead of Device (EC0) (same for BAT0...

<< Solved >> OpenCore battery patch

Hello! Hopefully somebody will point me to the right direction! I have successfully patched the DSDT to show my battery status. However, the issue I have is that after following Rehabman's guide to hot patch the battery, I can't see the status as one would expect, which means that I'll probably...

[Guide] Using Clover to "hotpatch" ACPI

Thank you, not what I’m looking for! [Guide] Using Clover to "hotpatch" ACPI

Hello, after following your guide on how to patch the DSDT to have a working battery status, I've followed the post #2 of this guide to get an SSDT.aml to hot patch the battery status on the fly. However, it's not working... When turning on my laptop, the Battery Status doesn't appear at all...

    Success - HP Spectre X360

I can boot with OpenCore without much hassle, BUT ONLY FROM JUSB. If I copy all files to the internal SSD EFI partition, I can't boot with OpenCore, only from Clover, since the PreLoader.efi doesn't seem to "work" with OpenCore, it only works for Clover. (With OpenCore, I get the Keyboard icon...
