I used this procedure to perform a clean install on my Optiplex 9020, that also works great. Just a small suggestion for your procedure, after the installation started in step 6 is finished you also need to copy the EFI folder to the installed machine on the MacOS disk like steps 4 and 5

Just a small follow up, today I tried an Atheros AR5B195 from an older machine with the attached kext and that works fine. Ofcourse that does not solve my sleep mode but it is one step further into my new laptop.
