What brado32 told you is completely incorrect. With the proper motherboard, processor, and unibeast you can make a very snappy PTHD10 system for those old PCIX cards (up to HD3) running mountain lion. The gigabyte GA-P75-D3 is the easiest mobo to use alongside an ivy bridge 1155 processor...

Is there a reason why you guys went to Mavericks? Im still at 10.8.2 and everything is running as it should in PT10 HD. I cant imagine there are plugins that will only run on Mavericks and up - but i could be wrong

The GA-P75-D3 has four legacy PCI slots, I have two machines (HD3 and HD4) running on these at the speed of light. 10.8.2 and my old trusty Pro Tools HD 8. BAM!

I used multibeast version 3.7.2 for my GA-H55-USB2.....i'll post a pic soon of the stuff i checked in it. Hope this helps!
