Thank you, I was a bit tired doing this last night. This Clover installer doesn't give me the choice to choose "options" and add Drivers 64UEFI & Install RC Scripts, which I need for my GPU to work. I guess I'll have to wait for the full release.
Did not work for me.
I've verified i have r4035 installed
deleted .metadata_never_indes from /
Did:
sudo mdutil -i off /
sudo rm -rf /.Spotlight*
sudo mdutil -i on /
sudo mdutil -E /
rebooted and .metadata_never_index is back in the root folder
No idea what to do from here
I just installed the latest version of Clover, went through the steps of deleting .metadata_never_index, rebuilding the database and starting the service and then rebooted. .metadata_never_index is back in the root drive and so spotlight is still not functioning.
Edit: Oh wait, those commits...
There are links in the thread that have other OSX system options that may or may not work for you. Again, there is a bug in Clover that was fixed in the patch so not sure if there is a choice?
Actually didn't work to after next reboot. Check this, you might want to update clover and see if issue persists:

Ok so I'm at a loss for why this is happening, but spotlight will not work correctly on my hack. No matter what I do, .metadata_never_index keeps showing up at the root folder, preventing spotlight from displaying any results from my Mac SSD.
Is this possibly a permissions thing or a clover...
I found this thread on stack exchange that worked for me in 10.6.11. Make sure to use sudo before the command to invoke root privileges: http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/24401/spotlight-reports-indexing-and-searching-disabled-in-lion/35073#35073
I'm having a similar issue with spotlight (although I have El Capitan). It's working for listing web results but it isn't listing any applications when I search for them. I have a dual boot system also with two seperate ssd, one for win10 and one for 10.11.6.
Looks like there are a few things...
Installed and working! I had to use iMac14,1 even though my processor matches 17,1 as display was not working with that config (even with nvda_drv=1). The help thread mentions a suspicion that the Apple servers sometimes check the processor against model so hopefully will continue working...
Have you had any issues with the graphics card using iMac 17,1? I ask because the system shipped with Radeon graphics so I'm wondering if NVIDIA is supported? Apparently the card I'm running is a bit finicky (Asus 750ti).
Looking forward to giving this guide a go tonight.
