    After Supplimental Update, boot stalls.

Update on the issue: while trying to follow the fix where you boot from a new USB with the High Sierra install on it, I think I didn’t wait long enough for the PSU to discharge while removing the GPU and my MOBO fried. It’s possible I may have killed it with static discharge or something else...

    After Supplimental Update, boot stalls.

I REALLY need some help guys. Had a stable High Sierra install and was waiting to try the supplemental update based on all the difficulties you guys were having. When I saw the NVIDIA web drivers had been updated I figured I was safe to give it a go. Updated clover, updated clover configurator...

    Too many corpses!

This is the most amazing error message I've ever seen (Sorry I don't have advice, but had to chime in)

[Solved] Strange behavior with video encoding

Now that I think about it, it may have had more to do with my overclock (was using the Gigabyte f22 BIOS stock overclocking options, which I think are undervolting for my particular 6700k CPU) since as I said the temps weren't actually getting too high. So in general, it seems to be understood...

[Solved] Strange behavior with video encoding

Addendum: adding code :threads=2 in "additional options" in handbrake eliminated the problem. It seems for whatever reason Handbrake overtaxes the CPU (despite HWmonitor not showing temps exceeding 70C) and doesn't limit itself in CPU utilization without manually controlling max threads.

[Solved] Strange behavior with video encoding

Hi everybody, My hack build is a pretty standard one. Gigabyte G170x UD5, 6700k, EVGA GTX 970, 32GB 2400mhz RAM, Samsung EVO SSD, etc. Everything's been absolutely gravy since following the various guides found on Tonymac. F22 BIOS no problem, 10.12.5 no problem, iMessage no problem...

    PSA: Gigabyte F20B BIOS changes

I finally took the plunge and flashed to F22, hoping it would improve LAN port stability (it didn't change it, LAN still randomly disconnects occasionally). The NVIDIA driver issue was the only real problem I faced and this worked perfectly.

    macOS 10.12.5 Update

Can confirm with my Z170X-UD5 / Skylake / Maxwell build. If you updated Clover for the 10.12.4 update it's all smooth sailing for 10.12.5.

Yes. Just update Clover first, and reinstall the NVIDIA web drivers when prompted. Couldn't be smoother with this build; I encountered no issues.

[GUIDE] Remove extra Clover BIOS boot entries & prevent further problems

Anyone else notice that after updating to the latest version of Clover and installing Sierra 10.12.4 that your computer is no longer creating extraneous boot entries? Because my machine magically stopped doing this after the update!

    macOS 10.12.4 Update

Happy to report I had the exact same experience. No perceivable differences or problems whatsoever, as of yet.

[Solved] Bluetooth not working with Fenvi FV-T919

Good call. I used "USBInjectall" kext with the max port limit increase patch before even testing the bluetooth in Sierra. Looking forward to trying out the Windows 10 drivers, I wasn't able to find that particular page when I looked for it before and the driver CD that came with the card was DOA.

[Solved] Bluetooth not working with Fenvi FV-T919

Bluetooth and wifi both worked out of the box for me under Sierra. Just make sure to attach the USB header on your motherboard correctly. Windows 10, however, is impossible for me thus far. The driver cd and web drivers (supposedly the ones FOR WINDOWS) are full of files with irregular...

Nvidia Web Drivers Fail to Load After Gigabyte F20 BIOS Update

Thank God I looked here before attempting to flash my bios. I'm getting the (very common) "multiple EFI entries on reboot" issue with bios version F5 but it's basically harmless compared to the hassles described in this thread.

[SOLVED] not sure what I've done, except screwed my hackintosh

In my experience it can corrupt the config file seemingly at random. Sometimes a text edit "takes," sometimes it doesn't. So it seems that best practice is to edit with Xcode or a similar plist editor.

    GB-Z170X UD5 i219-V and i211 ethernet

I noticed when installing first the old version of IntelMausiEthernet and then the newer version (using Kextbeast, rather than Multibeast), there was still only one copy of IntelMausiEthernet in System/Library/Extensions. After installing multiple versions of both kexts, are there more than one...

    GB-Z170X UD5 i219-V and i211 ethernet

I have the same board, and was having issues with IntelMausiEthernet (in S/L/E) randomly "unplugging" (network status said cable unplugged, after which it wouldn't be recognized on either port). Installed AppleIGB v.5.3.5.3 to S/L/E with Kextbeast and added copies of both kexts to...

[Guide] 10.11+ USB changes and solutions

Thanks for the advice. I was stupidly just copy/pasting into the config.plist with Textedit, assuming it would work like the more familiar app cracks I've done in the past. Luckily, I was able to get back in by booting using USB version of clover bootloader and replacing the config on the EFI...

[Guide] 10.11+ USB changes and solutions

Rehabman, I am using a 6700k / 100 series motherboard (G170x-UD5) with a fresh install of OS X 10.12.3 and am having a lot of confusion getting the USB ports to recognize mass storage devices (every port recognizes my audio interface, mouse, keyboard etc). I can't find a working download for...

    Success Sierra 10.12 & 10.12.1 GA-Z170X-UD5 TH, i7 6700K Skylake Gigabyte GTX 970, iMac 14,2

Hi! I have literally the exact same build as OP, and followed instructions carefully. Used the last El Capitan version of MultiBeast to set the UEFI boot mode and because the Sierra versions have a different "Quick Start Menu" that invariably caused kernel panic upon reboot. Also, the later...
