Hi everybody, I'm here cause I'm trying to make my HDMI audio work on my GTX 1060 (6GB). I tried with VooDooHDA (downloaded an installer and ran it) and it didn't work. Also when I go in sound options I can't see any input or output devices listed. How can I fix this?
Thanks in advance!
Hi, I'm not a big expert about this deal, but according to the link I posted in the previous answer, it should work fine if you don't have any other hardware incompatibility, e.g. unsupported CPU (in that case you need to set the FakeCPUID to the one that fits your case).
Man, you'll feel much more frustrated when post installing, I can bet, there are so many problems with it that I gave up after a while. Last try: check Haswell-E patch, adjusting GraphicsEnabler to no
If this doesn't work I'd suggest to rewrite OS Sierra on your USB stick to have a fresh bootable USB (you may have messed with drivers or something), change in config.plist CsrActiveConfig to 0x67 and then boot with flags:
nv_disable=1 npci=0x2000 cpus=1 busratio=32 and FakeCPUID=0x040672
If...
Well, I don't own your same motherboard but this should be uninfluential... You own a 6800K CPU?
EDIT: As far as I know GTX 1080 is not supported by MAC, by the way try adding nv_disable=1 in your boot flags.
I edited my config.plist changing CsrActiveConfig to 0x67 (it was 0x03) and when in Clover screen (before selecting where to boot from) I went to options, set boot flags to npci=0x2000 cpus=1 busratio=32 and then, under binary patches (I don't actually remember if this is the exact label, but...
I'm attaching the files you required. IOReg is the same as yesterday so I avoid reuploading it. EFI/Clover/ACPI/patched contains nothing but the ssdt you made me install yesterday.
Is it even correct to open my config.plist file from Clover configurator, step through the possible patches and select "Change HDAS to HDEF" or wrong again?
Sorry but for someone who has never heard anything before about it it's quite ambiguous. for instance:
"Rename dsdt/HDAS to HDEF (Select one method)". I mean, it would be more useful a line of explanation on how to do it than simply that. It tells me nothing, and if I google for it I keep making...
Then please tell me if I'm doing right:
for now I added to config.plist under ACPI/DSDT this piece of text (Patches section was missing) as pointed by this guide at point 6:
<key>Patches</key>
<array>
<dict>
<key>Comment</key>...
I'm already in difficulty (how odd :D). At point one it says:
. Rename dsdt/HDAS to HDEF (Select one method)
At the end of the day I selected method one. The point 2 of method one says:
Disables HDEF/HDMI audio ssdts
do I need to do anything or is it automatic ( I mean, once I select Drivers...
