That's just great - congratulations! It's an amazing rig. In the event my (Plex) Mac mini would die on me, I will certainly also consider this case.
I'm close to pulling the trigger on this motherboard, but that rig would then serve as my main desktop workhorse.
Thank you! I guess (from what I've read sofar) that you need to set the bios of the board to internal GPU? Do you need to swap cables when you boot your rig?
Thank you - I understand and that helps. Is looks like the top and one side cover of the shielding enclosure is separate (so two parts). Would it maybe be an option to just not use that part and allow a taller card?
The board gets some great reviews. Sure hope you get it all to work!
From what I see in your pics (thank you), the DW1560 has the same dimensions as the card that came with the board. For my new rig, I'm considering to use a BCM94360CD (with a mini PCI-E adapter). That combo would have a different size http://www.ebay.com/itm/251723761338 Would that somehow fit...
Thank you for your feedback. I'm using a DW1560 on a different board right now. It was pretty easy to set up and it works very well. Happy to help, just let me know.
It's not a big thing, but these scores are getting somewhat in my head. I just want to make sure that I'm not missing an obvious setting.
I'm running a GA H170N (latest bios) with two 16GB Crucial Ballistix Sport LT sticks. If I enable XMP in the bios, the board crashes. No obvious google hits...
Thanks again! It's now up from 16647 to 16983. Halt Enabler, Generate CStates and Generate PStates were already unchecked.
Looking at the other scores it seems like it's better to configure as an iMac17,1. I'm not sure whether I want to try that. My S/N, MLB, etc are working with iMessage and I...
Thanks a lot! Not bad.
XMPdetection was already on yes. RAM was already correctly detected as 2400mhz (I think).
I now selected HWPenable and Artfrequency (no clue, so still have to do some reading on those values). Is it common practice to set CPU frequency to 4.6 (4600 in top left box...
Thanks for your patience and kind support. iMessage & F-Time functionality are important to me, so I would like to fully understand how I could restore in case of an emergency (fresh install). In such unfortunate event I would have to work my way back from the iMessageDebug output (attached)...
