    MSI X99A SLI PLUS i7 6800k & ASUS 1080=HIGH SIERRA 13.2

Hello, thanks for the response. It would be much appreciated if you could point out the steps you followed to get it working, or if you followed any guide in the forum (so far I have not been able to get it working anyhow). Also, are you using fakecpuid 0x040674–Broadwell-e or 0x0306F2–Haswell-e...

[GUIDE] Full Power Management w/ Dual/Single Broadwell-EP/Haswell-EP CPUs on 10.12.

@metacollin, I have a working hack with High Sierra. I have a Broadwell-E processor, but I'm forced to use FakeCpuId as if it were a Haswell. Is it still possible to get power management working?

[Solved] Installation of High Sierra in MSI X99A SLI PLUS – i7-6800k

So, after deeper research I am pretty sure now that the problem was caused by the CPU being unsupported. It is also likely that the problem is related with MSI X99A SLI Plus motherboards aswell. In Sierra, similar problems were solved by the use of FakeCpuId along with kernel patch in clover for...

[Solved] Installation of High Sierra in MSI X99A SLI PLUS – i7-6800k

Today I managed to boot into High Sierra. First, using the exact same efi folders in the post I mentioned (https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/msi-x99a-sli-plus-i7-6800k-asus-1080-high-sierra-13-2.244936/), I succesfully booted the intaller USB drive, and installed High Sierra 13.2 in a Sata HD...

[Solved] Installation of High Sierra in MSI X99A SLI PLUS – i7-6800k

Okay, I will try that. My original approach was to install macOS High Sierra on an SSD using a real MacBook Pro, and trying to boot into that drive afterwards from the Hackintosh PC - I’ve never been able to install any version of macOS using a bootable usb. Anyways, I have also tried to boot a...

[Solved] Installation of High Sierra in MSI X99A SLI PLUS – i7-6800k

I tried this, with no result. I was already using it. I have tried both, from usb and Sata, and also tried to boot into a Sata SSD with High Sierra already installed on it but the output is always the same, nothing happens after the plus line. Thank you both btw.

[Solved] Installation of High Sierra in MSI X99A SLI PLUS – i7-6800k

Well, I tried again to boot into High Sierra with the changes I mentioned, and I am still having the same problem which I think might be unrelated to memory allocation; it just gets stuck at the plus line after end RandomSeed. Attached again the Clover verbose output and EFI folder.

[Solved] Installation of High Sierra in MSI X99A SLI PLUS – i7-6800k

Alright, thank you for the help. Still, about the apfs.efi and ApfsDriverLoader.efi, when should I use one or the other or both? what are the differences between them? I will try with new configurations to boot High Sierra and post results later on.

[Solved] Installation of High Sierra in MSI X99A SLI PLUS – i7-6800k

Okay, so far I was booting to Sierra with both AptioMemoryFix.efi and Test2.efi because it would only work when both of them were present; it did not work with just one or the other. I now tried with OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi instead of the other two and it booted fine so I am changing that...

[Solved] Installation of High Sierra in MSI X99A SLI PLUS – i7-6800k

Hello, I currently have a working build with Sierra 10.12.6, attached the EFI folder I am using ("EFI 10.12"). I want to update to High Sierra, and I've been struggling to get it working in my current build for the past week. I´ve followed several guides from this forum as well as from other...
