Yes, the newest Clover Configurator has a pull down that will let you select the definition.
14.2 works the best for this config
I am not sure about the efi partition, I usually don't touch it directly and let the Clover Configurator do it
I hope it helps
Mac Pro 5.1 definition doesn’t work with the latest High Sierra security update 2018.3.
It crashes during install. Changing it to iMac 14.2 (or above) worked. Took me a while to figure it out.
You can use the Clover Configurator to change the definition.
I also changed my video card form...
Just want to share my experience moving from Nvidia GTX970 to AMD RX580 on my hack.
It was actually a more straightforward and easier than I expected.
1. Remove the NVIDIA Web Driver - it has a built in uninstall
2. Make sure you have both Lilu and WhateverGreen in the kext/other directory
3...
Audio works well enough, it has some static and distortion in the low frequency range (bass).
I have yet to figure out how to fix it. It's fine for low volume and for general use.
- M2 SSD will work the same way as 2.5" SSD, as long as you can see it during install, then you're good to go
- The onboard wifi is Intel, will never work
- i3-8400 is a Coffee Lake CPU which won't work with this board, you can use Skylake (6 series) or Kabylake (7 series) instead
hope it helps,

I am on 10.13.6, the USB 3.0 kext patch is different than 10.13.4 as described in the link above.

hi grtdemo,
Thanks for this guide, followed this over the weekend on my El Capitan H170N build. I have been holding off to upgrade but thanks to your guide, I did it. Everything that I care about works on 10.13.6
A couple things that differ from your guide
- The USB flash drive has to be USB...
That's exactly what I did, replacing my old GTX 750 with a GTX 970 and sold my 1060. The 970 benches almost the same with the 1060. I could not be happier.
The key is to disable some sleep mode with "darkwake=0" or "darkwake=8", both seems to work. I use darkwake=8 and I have audio back from sleep about 99% of a time.

You can try two things :
1. Remove the Intel wireless card, it's not fully supported anyway.
2. In Clover Configurator under Install Driver (the last item on the left side bar)
- make sure it selects OsxAptioFix2Drv (instead of...
It's the EVGA B-stock card (aka refurbished). They have a sale quite often so I check it out from time to time.
Actually they also have a 980Ti FTW for $299 now. This is as good as it can be for a supported card with a decent price.

It works 100% of a time with darkwake=8 but only 90% of a time without
My setup is a Gigabyte H170N-wifi with El Capitan 10.11.6
