[GUIDE] Full Power Management w/ Dual/Single Broadwell-EP/Haswell-EP CPUs on 10.12.

If it recognized the processor you don't need to specify, it was just an example. For full list of options run "./ssdtPRGen.sh -h". Looks like you have a well-known, single cpu so you probably just need -x 1 for xcpm and nothing else. You want to use the aml generated at...

[GUIDE] Full Power Management w/ Dual/Single Broadwell-EP/Haswell-EP CPUs on 10.12.

The correct flag for latest beta version of ssdtPRGen.sh is "-x 1". So example might be: sudo ./ssdtPRGen.sh -l 56 -p "E5-2690 v4" -x 1 -l is the number of logical cores combined of all of your cpus (required if you have more than 1 cpu) -p is the name of the processor (look in...

The "Official" C612 (aka lets built the machine Apple never gave us)

That's correct; for me all of my "usb 3" ports currently function as usb 2 ports. If you look further back in the posts though you'll note that this is my first hackintosh and that I have not tried to patch the ddst for this motherboard. I'm confident someone more experienced than I could get...

The "Official" C612 (aka lets built the machine Apple never gave us)

I have had no trouble running everything I need, but I don't use the types of apps you've mentioned. Compilers (Xcode, mono, etc), Unity, Photoshop all working flawlessly. Most of the issues remaining are because of Sierra itself and not the hack (old webcam not working, old vpn no longer...

The "Official" C612 (aka lets built the machine Apple never gave us)

@volition awesome, I look forward to reading it! Maybe working xcpm will squeak a few thousand more out of my geekbench score :). In other news, my old webcam was acting unreliably. Dug into it and it turns out to be a Sierra issue and not a hackintosh issue. Bought a new Logitech c920 which...

The "Official" C612 (aka lets built the machine Apple never gave us)

Dang... I installed it and nothing new showed up in my audio input / outputs. Built fresh from the repository, only difference in the config.plist is mine has ResetHDA to true. Not going to worry too much about it though, this little usb adaptor is working fine.

The "Official" C612 (aka lets built the machine Apple never gave us)

@volition Nice! I had tried the AppleALC kext but that was probably a day or two before @metacollin patch, will have to revisit. I'm happy to report I used the hackintosh for my entire work day yesterday; super fast machine, very very pleased. No cpus melted. Got a geekbench3 of 73k once...

The "Official" C612 (aka lets built the machine Apple never gave us)

@volition It looks like there should be, but I don't know how to do it (this is still my first hackintosh). I've been taking a lot of videos of the boot seq with my phone to catch all of the logs :/ Geekbench 3 & 4 use completely different metrics so don't cross-compare the numbers (took me a...

The "Official" C612 (aka lets built the machine Apple never gave us)

Progress has been made. I tried a fresh install with sierra; I used latest clover and this time used OsxAptioFixDrv-64 (not "2"). I also found the clover kext patch (see attachment). With this new usb installer in place I set the FakeCPUID to 0x0306F0 (the last number is the stepping and 0...

The "Official" C612 (aka lets built the machine Apple never gave us)

@volition Nice, I'm glad that it helped. As a follow up, I've come to the determination that getting native power management working will be critical for me. Without it I have two options: Option #1: Use the the fake CPUID of 0x0306E4 (all other fake CPUID's kernel panic for me); however with...

The "Official" C612 (aka lets built the machine Apple never gave us)

Happy to report some initial success @volition! It has been a lot of fun figuring this out; I started by reviewing all of @metacollin's posts and advice (things like the fakecpuid of 0x0306F0/2 and -xcpm_ipi, not needing kexts, etc) and trying to incorporate that. Spent a couple hours not...

The "Official" C612 (aka lets built the machine Apple never gave us)

hey @volition, I was also inspired by metacollins saga so I'm trying my own build. Just got my hardware together today, installed windows to confirm I put the hardware together right and geekbenched at 25k multicore (not yet sure why its so low, I tried a lot of bios tweaks to no avail)...
