i had mine working with placing this kext into /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/other, but my card is tp-link wdn4800. however in clover bootlog, it seems airportbrcm4360 is included.

have you updated clover? i had same issue after updating from mojave. turn out i need to update clover and few kexts in /EFI/Clover/kexts/other (applealc, fakesmc, lilu and weg)

had same issue with my wdn4800. quite simple fix for me, by placing atheros40.kext and IO80211Family.kext into /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/other

I manage to make mine work by using lilu + whatevergreen in efi. Also added -lilubetaall (not sure if it is required, but it works) in custom flags and setting smbios to 14,2 (18,2 will boot but with flickering, others just won’t boot).
