Has someone updated to Big Sur ?

The update went well. Two reboots and the system was up to date. But a little bit later the system became unstable and crashed. I look into the config.plist and found the boot args "lilubetaall" and "alcbeta". I removed both, rebooted and the crashes are gone.

My hack works very good with the Radeon VII. I don't know, what the Pixlas mod is, but what I can say is that the 2 6-pin to 8-pin adapters & the PCI slot suffice. You must have an adequate power supply (at least 550W).

Reports from other forums indicate, that the problems discribed above where adressed by Apple in the latest 10.14.5 beta and significant improvements regarding performance and stability of VEGA cards were achieved. You should wait until the final release of the 10.14.5 version of Mojave.

For the Intel i9 processors (9700K, 9900K) which chipset is being used in the new MACs? Is it the Z390 chipset (or Z370) ? Which WLAN / Blutooth module is being integrated ? If the Z390 chipset is being used, I can imagine, that Intel 9560 Wifi AC module would also be supported under MacOS.

No, not at this moment. You must wait for the nvidia webdrivers and Turing card support, which would expectedly support Mojave only. With my 1080Ti I'm also stuck with HS.

Look for the 108 version of the driver, just published by Nvidia a few months ago, but retreated cause of problems. I've installed this driver and it's compatible 100% with the latest security update 2018-002 of HS and my 1080ti card.

I've solved the problem and deleted the kext from the EFI-folder. The error disapears.

An alternative for the mic problem discussed above would be a webcam with a built in microphone, such as Logitech C920 or C930. Both cameras are fully compatible with MacOS. I'm in posession of the C930.

@Gigamaxx In this case it's not the same. The replacement of the SSD shortens the boot time from about 55s to 10s. I didn't change anything (kexts, dsdts etc.); just cloned the Installation with Carbon Copy Cloner.

@rankjie This means that the compatibility issues are occurring even with the newest firmware of the 960pro SSD.

I can confirm your post 100%. I've also replaced my 960pro 1TB Samsung SSD with the 970pro one. Now MacOS starts in 10s. Thank you very much for your experience you share with us. I've forgotten to install firmware updates of the 960pro SSD from Samsung before replacing it with the 970pro one...
