Another Gigabyte, 5820k user here!
So far everything seems to be running very smoothly, It was a little bumpy at the start with the black screen graphics issue but now its fixed using only the NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext 1.2.1 & Lilu.kext 1.2.0.
I can confirm XCPM is also working great using the...
Hi Malki, yes I'm running Sierra now, everything's running smoothly exempt sleep function but I don't have any need for it anyway.
I have noticed a strange graphics glitch which flickers a small black box at the top right of the screen over the icons bar...
This occurs randomly and happens for...
I also had this same issue running El Cap and Sierra so I don't use the sleep function either. Guess it has something to do with power management not fully waking from sleep?..
Follow this guide below (you will need the original untouched system AppleHDA.kext for this to work).
https://www.******.com/r/hackintosh/comments/4e23w6/guide_native_audio_with_clover_applealckext/
Simply change your audio ID to 1 in your clover.plist (using 1 works for the Gigabyte ud4 board)...
Thanks Asus I really appreciate your help, this nearly fixed it, I managed to get 3.40Ghz flat-line using Geekbench with a default bios setup following you advice.
So next I ran ssdtPRGen.sh. to create an ssdt.aml using this command:
./ssdtPRGen.sh -turbo 4300 -b Mac-F60DEB81FF30ACF6 -x 1...
Thanks for your help, after adding these I managed a max flat-line of 3.70ghz but it was still below my o/c rate of 4.30ghz.
I also tried replacing these instead of the original "kernals to patch" but still no joy...
I've provided my config and ssdt if yourself or someone could take a look to...
I've successfully installed Sierra using an X99 UD4 5820k o/c at 4.3ghz and used what Chiechi posted which fixed the freqVectorsEdit.sh - " sysctl -n machdep.xcpm.vectors_loaded_count returns 0 " error, I now get - returns 1
Since this I'm now better power results using Intel Power Gadget...
Thank you that's good to know.
How do you find the sound quality of the Sound Blaster Omni?
My main usage If I got one would be for producing music with Ableton and monitoring via headphones, so sound quality would be the highest priority.
Also would you know if its capable of driving the...
Hi Lokicat,
You mentioned that your sound didn't work so you instead use a USB sound card. I've had this audio problem myself when I tried to upgrade from 10.11.2 to 10.11.3 so I'm now looking to get an audio interface (Audient ID14) to hopefully solve this issue.
Could you tell me if you had...
Ok thanks for you advice.
I did try VoodooHDA a while back but was getting crackles every so often so I used Toledo's AppleHDA instead.
From what I can find on the Nvidia 8600 GT I don't see any supported web drivers available and it seems the 8600 GT was quite problematic going back to...
Hi Sunnan,
You mentioned to use a USB sound card as alternative to get the Audio working and was wondering will any sound card work or does it need to be one that has its own driver to install?...
Many thanks
Noodlez
Yes Audio and USB works perfect with 10.11.2, Not sure about FireWire as I don't use it but it should as everything else runs sweet!
However, 10.11.3 broke my Audio so I reverted back to 10.11.2
Hi, I found building it the easy bit! Just watched a few youtube vids help.
Once everything is built I followed this guide which is the best one around in my opinion...
Hi,
I managed to get the Displayport working as it should with the Dell Display, Finally!.. :headbang:
I changed my Bios setting on my Gigabyte UD4 board from "Other OS" to "Windows 8 WHQL" and disabled CSM Support.
By doing this it also automatically displays the correct resolution for the...
Ok thanks,
Strangley when I was using the Displayport cable it showed @59Hz instead of @60Hz in the System Information section but when I switched to HDMI and set the correct resolution it does show @60Hz?..
Hi thanks for your advice,
I have tried using an HDMI Cable which worked with no issues except for a lower max resolution of 2048 x 1152,
Ive also tried the display port cable in the other 2 ports in my GTX 960 but still has the flickering black screen sleep issue,
if I was to use the HDMI...
