I just noticed that my hack did the update to 10.8.5 without me even knowing about it through the AppStore. Works like a charm.
As far as everyone else having issues. I really built this guide to support exactly the same hardware I purchased.
I would guess that most boot issues have...
Its not overly clear, but if you read the first post in this thread, it should get you close.

Awesome!
It is easiest to use a 2nd drive for W7 and then point your bios to the ML drive as a first boot device. That's the way I do it anyway. I tried doing it on one drive before and had some success, but it was a severe pain in the ass because of telling Chameleon which partition to...
This is a very, VERY simple install for this board. Basic steps are below.
1. Use this thread for getting your ASUS P877Z-V Pro BIOS uploaded on your motherboard.

b. Flash the BIOS that will allow...
To answer your second question; yes, you can redownload the application later for free. The Appstore will remember your purchase. Not unlike Steam for games.
Isn't the 640 a Kepler (sp?) card? If so, then it already has hardware accelleration capability and the GraphicsEnabler=Yes throws a conflict usually resulting in a white screen.
If you are able to boot with the USB stick and the GraphicsEnabler=No flag, then you just need to use Multibeast...
I think your bootable USB is the issue. I would redo that process and follow the guide very carefully. If you have the same issues, try the boot flag "GraphicsEnabler = No".
I have the same Mobo, i5-3570k and a GTX 660ti. I can boot using the USB, install OSX, and have ethernet right...
I think a lot of us are dealing with it right now. You aren't the only one. Definitely build your own DSDT from within Windows first and install that on your usb installer stick. That will help.
Solved my bios error by loading into windows and creating my own custom DSDT and installing the DSDT via multibeast on my Unibeast stick.
The bizarre thing about it is that the CMOS reset was not allowing me to boot Darwin Kernel at all. So after this, I am able to get Darwin Kernel to...
So, here is the deal with my build on the laptop in my sig. I am currently typing from the same hard drive I originally installed 10.8 on IN the laptop but from my other hackbuild. So this proves the original install went well using the unibeast 1.5 method.
I have tried several boot...
Well, I USED to be able to get into installer. I am going to try to install it from my PC and see if that helps. I wonder if OSX corrupted my BIOS or something. Its the only thing that makes logical sense. Why would OSX install like on a normal system, run. Then the very next day decide...
I am having the same issues on my laptop. I actually had gotten the installer to work just fine, then reboot into usb stick to boot into new install. Set everything up and thought life was fine.
Come back to it today and now it just keeps doing the same thing yours does: Load all files...
