:D anyway as you know if safari cannot play Amazon Prime Video your DRM issue are not resolved...
I did few more tests, Geekbench improve but if you bench with unigine heaven, no change at all, same result with and without framebuffer injected.
Have you an Amazon prime account? Try amazon prime video on Safari browser. I'm using a different SMbios iMac 18,3 so i need WEG because shikigva=80 try to fake imacpro smbios regarding DRM.
reactivating WEG and using shikigva=80 now i got back also DRM, the only weird thing is my Graphic card now it's named AMD Radeon Unknown Prototype by geekbench.
I used this code in config plist:
<key>Properties</key>
<dict>...
Sorry for the late reply, my gpuid is 0x731F1002
Yes obviously i use agpdmod=pikera.
thanks
OK i used you way to inject the framebuffer the huge increment of speed geekbench it's just for a test "Sobel" the others are more or less the same, geekbench compute test passed from 43K to 53K.
yep i use hdmi and i tried also the second one, i gave also a look inside AMDRadeonX6000Framebuffer.kext.
I tested it with iMacPro 1.1 or with iMac 18.3, later on i will try to debug what's happening.
Actually i'll stick with iMac 18.3 igpu disabled and whatevergreen, because everything works...
In my case today was experimenting to sort out some problems with the new clover version (btw it's going worse every release), i removed igpu from bios and bingo, drm working, Netflix & Amazon Prime Video with Safari.
My config is:
iMac 18,3 SMBios
Latest WhateverGreen & Lilu
agpmod=pikera...
With Clover 5109 updated Lilu, Whatevergreen, ALC, got blackscreen after boot.
Reverted to Clover 5108 But with updated kexts everything works as expected.
IGPU+RX5600XT iMac 18.1 agdpmod=pikera shikigva=80
It's a Clover problem?
I wrote that in the message just before yours, use iMac 18,1 Smbios and all your glitches will be solved.
Then update also IntelGraphicfixup and Lilu.
THat in the case your hackintosh is the one you posted, bcause your profile shows also a Radeon RX580
Just to give a information my problems now are solved, this is what to check in IOREG:
MacOS 10.13.4, tested many Smbios until i found 18,1 bugfree. With 18,3 SmBios it was unusable at all.
I'm very tired, so probably i missed something but in that code there is nothing contraddicting what i'm affirming, from what i read there Vit9696 is trying to fix the AppleScheduler using the GuC firmware code for linux posted by Intel. As i explained before GuC firmware is useful for...
Shiki.kext enable decoding/encoding, anyway enabling GuC firmware has no effect on that matter:
"GUC
GuC is designed to perform graphics workload scheduling on the various graphics parallel engines.
In this scheduling model, host software submits work through one of the 256 graphics doorbells...
Tested today, no problem at all or no new problems.
If you think it's intelgraphicsfixup fault simply add -igfxoff to your boot-args and disable IntelGraphicsFixup, before booting thru Clover/Options. Or boot the system with -x boot-arg (safe mode).
Honestly, I think your problem is somewhere...
Using IntelGraphicFixup 1.2.5 -disablegfxfirmware can be safely removed from boot-args, as well as GFX0 -> IGPU and MEI/HECI -> IMEI renaming, will help greatly new hackintosh users.
Though don't think many users will use igfxfw=1 because graphic performances are greatly reduced although...
