You're absolutely right. I removed the 960 Evo and simply used a sata SSD -bingo. Everything is rock solid. That's unfortunate. I used the 960 without issue in High Sierra o_O. Thanks for the suggestion!
Thanks for the suggestions! My system is currently unstable enough that I won't be able to move kexts before it reboots. I will look at hardware more closely after work today. I'm also going to switch from HDMI cable to DP and see if that makes a difference. (again, things were perfectly fine in...
Having problems with random reboot. First after upgrading from High Sierra to Mojave and now after a clean install. Everything was stable as a table in HS.
Anyone else having this issue?
I just finished upgrading from High Sierra, and now my system keeps rebooting before I can finish entering my password at the login screen. Anyone else experiencing this? Same behavior in safe mode.
**EDIT** I turned off my second monitor and was able to login and finish the update. All is...
Any word on the status of MultiBeast v10? I completely understand the challenges, and respect the efforts to bring this to all of us -your work is VERY appreciated!!
I'm using a GMYLE Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter, though I haven't attempted to get handoff working yet, due to limited free time this week. I haven't tried mirroring.
I've disabled sleep, due to a few issues that I assume are related to my AMD graphics card.
I would wait another day or two for the updated version of MultiBeast and use that -much easier. Then once installed, grab the latest nVidia web drivers, and you'll be set
I decided to install High Sierra using HFS+ instead of APFS. Once installed, I used MultiBeast to install WhateverGreen and AMD graphics fix. All seems to be working now!
I've finished install of High Sierra on Z270X Gaming 5. Everything is working except front panel USB 3.0 (only getting USB 2.0 to work in the 3.0 ports). Bios is set to enable XHCI handoff. I've also installed the "Increase Max Port Limit 200 Series" using MultiBeast. Still not having any luck...
So at the end of the day, where does everyone stand, relative to using APFS on a new install? I have a Samsung 960 Pro NVME drive that I'm hoping to use without concern for less reliability than HFS+. Is the performance on non-apple hardware/firmware significantly better?
Thanks, I appreciate your reply! I'll give that a try this evening when I get back home. I thought the RX580 would have had native support in 10.13... Does the WhateverGreen kext provide full acceleration and functionality?
