I searched around for hours yesterday but came up empty. Do you know of any resources that cover applying edits to system kexts? Putting edited kexts back in S/L/E would require SIP to be disabled, so is there a better way?

Since you're wanting to use FCP and Logic I highly recommend upgrading that CPU to at least the i5-8400 if you can afford it.

I've heard of some individuals not being able to sideload their apps when on Hackintosh. This may be an old issue or a settings-based issue that some users were having. I think it is the 4 GB of memory I have on the Air that is hurting me. I need a more hefty desktop anyways.
