I cannot get headless iGPU working properly

Good to know. Hackintool has gone on the fritz and now refuses to generate any video device Properties. Sigh. If it's not too much trouble could you post your config.plist? I've snipped out any conflicting settings in Clover Config, but maybe I'm missing something. I also found that DVMT is...

I cannot get headless iGPU working properly

I am using the 0x19120001 Platform ID, but I didn't uncheck the HDMI box. I'll give that a try. If onboard-1 isn't supposed to be in there then that's a bug in Hackintool as that was auto-generated with the 0x19120001 platform ID.

I cannot get headless iGPU working properly

I've tried playing with different options in Hackintool, such as the 32MB DVMT fix since I cannot set that manually in the BIOS. No change. Tried the latest Lilu/WhateverGreen, no change. Latest BIOS, no change. I'm starting to think that there may be something specific to this board that makes...

Done. Heh, been a while, I guess. That build was retired some time ago.

I cannot get headless iGPU working properly

My Hackie has been running splendidly on Mojave for some time, 10.14.6. I'm using Clover 4934 with Lilu/WhateverGreen installed from MB 11.3, Gigabyte Z170X-UD3 rev 1, i7 6700k, Vega 64 GPU. I've had no problems since getting this thing installed and running, but recently I fired up Starcraft 2...

GTX 970 w/ World of Warcraft

Are you running WoW on the old OpenGL API or the newer Metal API? You should definitely be using the latter. Check the in-game settings and perhaps play around with various effects to see if one in particular seems to be triggering the issue.

    [GUIDE] Sierra on the GA-Z170X-UD3

Aha, that did it! I didn't realize that I had to inject the Nvidia web drivers specifically in addition to the nvda_drv=1 flag. Nvidia web drivers are now working without intervention. Yay! USB is still screwed up, though. I've tried with and without the USBInjectAll.kext and with/without the...

    [GUIDE] Sierra on the GA-Z170X-UD3

I can't get USB ports working properly, UD3 board, of course. I have USBInjectAll.kext in the kexts folder, generated the USB*.aml files with the attached application (14 ports activated, so just shy of that limit) and placed them in ACPI/patched, and still no dice. Nothing seems to work. I've...

    Clover, 10.11, Sandy Bridge, overclock?

CPU: i7 2600k Motherboard: Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3P, UEFI BIOS installed OS 10.11.6 Fusion Drive (installing everything to the EFI partition on the SSD) So I've switched from Chimera + 10.10 to Clover + 10.11 recently. Everything is working (minus that bloody "Error allocating pages" every other...

USB 3.0 PCIe Cards that work OOB in El Cap

Installed an Inateck KT4006 in my hackie and it seems to be working flawlessly! It's recognized as Generic, but transfer speeds are just fine. I can't comment on sleep as I've never been able to get that working properly anyway. Mac OS 10.10.5 Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3P + i7 2600k (Etron EJ168 USB...

Kernel Panic on Unibeast drive, barely after it starts boot, no kexts cited

Success! I found a Clover config file on InsanelyMac that worked! I'm not sure what specific settings it used, but I was able to boot and get it installed! However, my problems aren't over. For the first few boots (hooked up to the Intel video), it would reboot after a minute or two on the...

Kernel Panic on Unibeast drive, barely after it starts boot, no kexts cited

I've just tossed together a build that I'm trying to get working with 10.11, but no matter what I try, I get a kernel panic shortly after it starts booting. I built this using the standard process with Unibeast, UEFI boot, no extra options. The thumbdrive is connected via the USB 2.0 ports...

Z68XP-UD3P 1.0, GTX 970 issues, Yosemite, I'm about to lose it...

Oh, thank Cthulhu! Did some digging last night and found that switching from the UEFI PCIe ROM to the Legacy ROM in the BIOS fixed the video card boot issue! Apparently a lot of people had problems with this on a variety of boards with late model video cards. Most of them had BIOS updates that...

Z68XP-UD3P 1.0, GTX 970 issues, Yosemite, I'm about to lose it...

Someone please help me with this. I'm about ready to put my computer through the &*R%^&* wall after spending several hours on this BS. I've been holding off on upgrading my 10.9.5 Hackie to Yosemite, previously running Mavericks. I just got a GTX 970 along with a larger SSD and HD, so it was...

10.8 & 10.9, odd audio issue with Griffin Firewave

Well, after switching from the FW card back to the onboard Via FW port, the problems have disappeared completely. I also was having issues with the occasional solid lockup with zero explanation in any of the logs. Looks like my FW card went south or there's some issue with the specific TI...

10.8 & 10.9, odd audio issue with Griffin Firewave

I've been using a Griffin Firewave with hackies since I started around 10.5. It's still going strong and has been natively supported in each version of OS X I've used. Great little device. However, I have seen an odd issue going back as far as 10.8 at least and it persists in 10.9. It will...

    Parallels on a hackintosh

I've been able to do it with both MBR and GUID formatted drives, although Parallels is a bit flaky about it at times. You need to make your Bootcamp VM, and in the settings, go to the Hard Drive, select your Windows drive, click Edit Partitions, and make sure both boxes are checked for System...

Perplexing problem with network on Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3P, 10.8.5

Well, looks like that driver fixed the problem! It's been several days without a hitch. If you have an RTL1111/8168 chipset then I heartily recommend it to get around some funny business in the official driver: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/287161-new-driver-for-realtek-rtl8111/

Perplexing problem with network on Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3P, 10.8.5

I remember when I first installed 10.8.5 that I had some issues with getting the network port working, a Realtek 8111E. I believe I had installed the RTL official driver with Multibeast. The Lnx driver wouldn't work with this thing. It has been working without a hitch until recently. A while...
