Me too.. I´ve got an old Silicon Image SI 3132 that works fine in Sierra. Just migrate to Catalina this week and it doesn´t work anymore. So it could be nice some advice on which e-sata cards works ok on Catalina.
Hi fellows,
Tried to upgrade to HighSierra using the tutorial of this page (https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/update-directly-to-macos-high-sierra.232707/) but stucked on boot of the install drive... got a forbidden sign -- using the two scenarios (APFS e HFS+). My SSD is a Sansung EVO. My...
Have you managed the sound issue?
I´ve got the same issue regarding ALC892.
I´ve tried to use the HDMI option for 4600 since my monitor is a Samsung TV and got nothing.
All best,
Sergio
Hummm... The problem is that my HD is using a PCI Port.
If I boot using an USB prepared to install El Capitan, this HD doesn´t appear on the list of possible targets.
All best,

Hi,
I´m using an eSata HD from my Sil3132 board to make a try without jeopardizing my main SSD.
Everything ran OK but when it comes to Install El Capitan, after booting from "Boot OS X Install..", it hangs on "Missing Bluetooth Controller Transport".. and a Forbidden sign appears.
If I reboot...
Nice guide.. This is what I was looking for...
Little question: I have the same mother board that you have, but I use the HD4600. So what should change in step 8 of final hardware setup section:
8. Double-click the audio-cloverALX-110.command file in Finder. When prompted, answer...
Thanks Tony.
I understand that the message is "migrate from Chimera/Chameleon to Clover before upgrading to El Capitan", right?
So if I use Time Machine to backup all my data/apps and install El Capitan from scratch using the tutorial, I can restore all data/apps in the process of instalation...
Well. Did it all but no good results..
But I´ve found that UseKernelCache=No (Boot Ignore Caches) resolve all problems..
Now I´m trying to move forward and use HDMI sound to work.. Any hints? (I´ve checked the option of HDMI on MultiBeast).
The sound output shows a Digital optical output port...
I´ve took a look at those boot flags and tested 4 scenarios with same results
PCIRootUID=0 with npci=0x2000 and npci=0x3000
PCIRootUID=1 with npci=0x2000 and npci=0x3000
Still hangs at same point...:-(
Any new ideas?
Sergio
I've heard that this flicker situation should be on the -X flag that boots the OSX in secure mode. This would not load the right vídeo kext and noise should appear.
since i can not boot without -x flag, i can not confirm that.
Other question is If the boot is taking too long and seems like a...
I'm having the same situation with flickers on the login Page and after that, for the first seconds when that fantastic picture of Yosemite comes up. After that, it is running smoothly.
The only drawback so far is if it boots without the -x flag, the boot starts but the progess bar sticks...
Hi fellows,
I´m using mavericks version 10.9.2 that runs like a charm.
When I tried to upgrade to 10.9.4, I´ve got a kernel panic that was resolved moving the AppleIntel* files off from /System/Library/Extensions.
The drawback was the video graphics. In my current version, I can see that my...
"8/1/2014 - 10.9.4 HD4600 HDMI audio, 892 AppleHDA.kext fixed. Use MultiBeat 6.4.1 or download AppleHDA.kext (below) and install with KextBeast."
Just that? Donwload the kext and install it. No more actions?
All best,
Sergio
Any suggestions what to do? The HMDI doesn´t appear as a sound output option. I´m lost after several tries...:banghead:
The one that seemed to come closer was this one that I´ve try to follow steps here...
Hi Toleda,
I´m trying hard to make HDMI work on my H87N motherboard with OSX 10.9.4.
After several attempts, I end up with DPCIManager showing like this picture bellow...
Hi Joncas,
Are you in 10.9.4 already?
I confess that I´ve got lost with Toleda´s instructions.. and now that they are saying that the Multibeast in its new version can handle that only witha choosen option.. (I´ve tried and no lucky). Still lost...
All best,
Sergio
