    Why did i try this????? I get the "can't find mach_kernel" and the "already shown above" comment doesn't help any....... Are there any more simple people around here?

    True, i think I will opt for the internal storage route first and then, try the NAS setup. Will be more costly in the end but, I feel it will give me the most flexibility. thanks again for all your info. It's greatly appreciated

    Thanks, interesting, how fast is the data transfer from a NAS drive? Probably depends on the connection type I would assume.
