I am really hopeless - I'd be so happy if someone can help me, I can even offer a small donation (if allowed). Also, if you need more information, just let me know, I'll reply fast!
Hi there
I have successfully installed 10.10.0 a few months back when it was released. I used the following to install:
- Chameleon v2.2 r2400:2404
- Multibeast 7.0
My hardware:
- Intel DZ87KLT-75K
- Intel i7 4770K
- NVIDIA GeForce GT 640 2048 MB
My current boot.plist:
<?xml version="1.0"...
1. III No Codec / No Codec ID / Revision. In IORegistryExplorer, layout-id is <01 00 00 00> (see screenshot). In system preferences, no output devices visible.
2. 10.10 running on i7 4770K / Intel DZ87KLT-75K / Nvidia Geforce GT 640
3. Clean install on formatted SSD using Unibeast USB Stick...
Worked as a charm!! Thank you so much for this. Yosemite installed and up and running without issues now. Good luck to you for your installation (remember to copy patched kernel from usb to HD otherwise it wont boot).

WonkeyDonkey I have used your guide to install Mavericks 10.9.2 on my Hardware (and I don't seem to be the only one. other users with exactly same hardware as me claimed your guide worked for them, see here for example...

See my post, it's the exact same tutorial. It did not work for me. After selecting my USB from BIOS it boots into the USB, then after 1s it shows Chameleon screen from my mavericks installation (10.9.2 running chameleon, built with...

This would be really, really great! So far I've tried the following one:

But I could not even boot into clover (it goes...
step 1: full backup of your hd (in case anything goes wrong) using carbon copy cloner
step 2: in the installer, go to disk utility and format your disk (you'll need to select Options > GUID-Partition Table)

Did you follow a specific guide? If you did, it'd be awesome if you could post a link here. I am really struggling with my yosemite install and would love to give a clover-based install a try. Thanks in advance!

As you've said you have a similar issue and similar hardware configuration. We are possibly facing the same issue.
At this point I am almost certain...
You are correct. While installing 10.9, I also had to patch the kernel. Basically, I followed the following tutorial (very similar hardware to my setup) and it worked perfectly on one of the first tries:
This is the guide I followed originally by user WonkeyDonkey...
I tested some more boot flags (IGPEnabler=Yes/No combined with -x -f -v respectively) and no change. Anyone can recommend some more techniques on what to try?
I am starting to think it has to do with my hardware config, and some hardware incompatibility is preventing the installer to boot /...
usb stick is definitely required (create using unibeast) but I think during installation you'll be able to select your current installation as destiation. this way you won't loose any settings. a clean install is preferable though from what I've heard.
important: back up your stuff using carbon...
same issue, crashes right after apple logo appears.
