Hey there,
I think that is possible. If you go to your BIOS, go to boot options and click "add boot option". From there it should have a very basic file manager. Try to navigate to your external drive and select the CLOVERX64.efi file. It should now be a boot option for you to select.
if I’m honest, I haven’t used my 3.5mm jack too much but iirc it seems to be working fine for me. I can check later but i don’t know what the issue would be. Have you tried updating your kexts? I think they came out with some updates a day or two ago.
Hey there, I'm sorry you're having trouble with my guide. Recently I tried to update my kexts + Clover install and my hackintosh started kernel panicking as well. After I replaced them with my previous clover backup it worked again. Can you try to install it with the kexts in my download without...
Welcome to my XPS 15 9560 guide. This guide should work for most hardware configurations, but here is my configuration:
CPU: i5-7300HQ @ 2.5GHz
8GB RAM
Nvidia GTX 1050 / Intel HD 630
1080p IPS display (See edit in pre-install for 4k display)
1TB Samsung NVMe SSD
Broadcom BCM94352Z Dell DW1560...
Hey there! Have you tried hitting cmd+L to view the installation logs to see if it stops at any particular place? Also have you tried booting into the 2nd phase installer in safe mode? I have gotten past this issue in the past by installing it in safe mode and then everything would work fine...
Hmm, Mojave shouldn't have problems with NVMe SSDs (I have one myself). I think I recall SK Hynix having weird problems with MacOS but if I am honest I am not familiar with the issue. I'm sorry I cannot be of more help.
Same happened to me, but in addition my wifi would not "enable" until super late after boot, like 5+ minutes after logging in. It also might be kickstarted by going into the settings application and looking at the networks screen, not sure. All of my kexts are up to date so i'm not sure whats wrong.
I dont think so, honestly my sound broke too but I was so busy with school I never bothered to investigate it heavily. I will try to return to it for the next MacOS release but in the meantime try to revert back to what you had previously.
Alright, I will try to update the files tonight when I get home. Some people were having other issues that I was going to look into so I will do both at the same time. Thanks for the heads up.
I will also try to update the guide to help people running into the issue you replied to above to make...
Yes, I meant that you should copy the folder to the "Install macOS Mojave USB" drive. As for your USB issue, if it still shows up in your mac try to just run the clover installer again and see if that fixes it. No need to wipe the whole USB.
Yeah, that’s what I meant. Oof well mine worked out of the box for me. Have you read the main thread on this site about getting iMessage to work? It might help your case. I don’t know why you would have any more difficulties that anyone else.
It could be an issue with the hardware profile you have setup in clover. These downloads have my personal hardware profile on them (which it probably shouldn't) and so you should change everything to be different from mine.
I should probably add that to the guide...
I'm glad I could help! I'm sorry I have not had time to update the download with the sata kext, but I should soon. As for your clover boot, you're saying that you can't boot clover without a USB, or you have clover installed on your laptop but your MacOS install is not showing? Are you using two...
Hmm, I used to have that kext installed but when I removed it I didn’t see any bad effects so I removed it to get rid of fluff. If it is causing issues I will add it today (hopefully). Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
I appreciate the thanks. As this is my first guide I’m trying to...
