Yeah I'm on the latest firmware. It's more an issue of the installer not seeing a firmware value it likes from my config.plist I think. I've updated clover and tried a few different SMBIOS options, mainly iMac14,2 and iMac18,3, but none work. Same error. I guess I'll keep plugging away at it. If...
That sucks man. Hope your new one is better. I haven't had any issues with that. I don't suppose you remember any specific kexts or drivers you used in your usb installer to get it to work? I managed to get through the first reboot but then the installer gives me an error about not being able to...
Yet in the last 20 days worth of posts I didn’t see a single reply stating that to others. So after 10 hours and 60 pages you can understand my frustration at such a reply. But yeah. I guess I’ll start another thread. Tomorrow maybe. Time for sleep now.
And really, sincere apologies if I’m...
Yes and I’m trying to use this guide but I’m having problems. I must’ve gotten confused by the other people in the last 60+ pages posting about similar issues in this same thread looking for help using this guide. My apologies.
I've been trying to get this done since late afternoon yesterday and it's 3:30 AM now so I'm calling it. I've read through this entire thread and tried many things but every single time after the first reboot it gets stuck with a kernel panic and attempts a mach reboot. With all I've tried...
One thing I see is your Skylake ID is wrong. Remove the last 6.
You may also run into issues post-install injecting Intel with that 1070, but I could be wrong there.
Sure thing.
I included the EFI from my installer USB and the one from my post install. Since I'm on 10.12.6 I changed my SMBIOS to iMac18,3 and removed the Skylake fake ID.
Ok got Sierra installed after trying a few guides for various Gigabyte 270 boards. Sound is working with Voodoo 2.8.8, the Killer E2500 is working with the E2200 kext, Bluetooth is working, WiFi unexpectedly not working, but I'm using a Linksys bridge for internet so that'll do for now. I don't...
Ok so I've been struggling with this for a couple of days but figured I'd ask some questions before continuing to beat my head against the wall:
With the release of Kaby Lake Macs, do we still need to spoof the CPU model?
Has anybody gotten macOS going on the Gigabyte Gaming 9? I though I saw...
This would be insanely awesome, although I'd be more interested in the RBP. I wonder what hurdles you'd have to jump through to get the LCD trackpad working. I've got one preordered just for use as a Windows gaming machine, but to be able to dual boot OS X on it would be icing on the cake.
Here's a little bump to this question. I'm getting one of the new Blades and was curious if it would be possible to get ML running on this thing. I've built a couple of Hackintoshes in the past, but decided to go native a few years ago to avoid the hassle. Now that Apple has discontinued the 17"...
